I found a website , oldmodels.com, that carries several of the plastic models that many of us built as kids. Under the maker Tamiya there are several models of WWII tanks, anti-tank guns and personell. I especially liked the Russian and German tanks. There are a couple of Pak 40's also.
Knowing the intrest many members have in WWII I thought I would pass this along.

I grew up with 1/72nd scale airfix models in the UK [70s]... I won a war-comic [popular in UK back then] contest once and got a huge 54mm scale Spitfire kit from them!!! I wonder how much mega bucks it'd be worth today if I left it in box.

Some of the older stuff I saw are selling for $125.00. Doesn't seem it would be worth missing out on being able to put it together.

Yes- in that case-> not so megabucks- so I guess the joy of putting it together was worth it back then -lol I can't even remember much of that episode though -I'm getting old - other than opening up the huge box it came in and labouring over the huge paint job it needed-which I botched -that's not the normal model kit paint job for a youngster

Keystone, I don't build armor but in aircraft Tamiya is one of the best (Along with Eduard and Hasegawa). I recently got back into this hobby in the last year and I find it a great way to relieve stress.

lol-apparently not- I thought one of several war pulp ones I picked up every weekend was 'Victory' or something similar - I can't find it on google. If Cross was around he'd know most likely. The funny comics I'd also get Beano and Buster show on google though.

It is a great way to reduce stress, isnt it? I build mostly 1/35 WWII armor and infantry dioramas. Dragon has a lot of highly detailed kits that involve an overabundance of photo etch and resin additions, so one model can usually last me about a month. Im also fond of the 120 mm resin figures too, im working on an 82nd airborne bust and an SS/eastern front figure right now,as well as an elefant that i have to still paint.
