sad.gif im going to be taking a break from gaming for a while,i havent had as much time to play as im used too these days and quite frankly im pretty upset with all that has been going on in here the last couple months.if there was ever a problem with druid or certain posts that an MOB member did not aprove of ,then why wasnt it brought up in council? council seems to be where we endlessly have battles over adding new additions these days rather than actually voting on the real issues of the clan, honestly i havent seen a new post in council in a month but alot of decisions have been made.

im not downing mike or even steel ,they have been working very hard to keep things going.i just want to give my history opinoin on this clan. ive always been a nomad kind of gamer checking out alot of different servers and game types ,never really liked playing the same place all the time until the first time i played MOB U/O . i have to say there was something different about the MOB servers,i kept coming back ,the competiton has always been fierce. there have been teams that held number one in twl and cal but guess what ,their servers werent filled 24/7 .....big difference.i finally became a reg after a long time waiting and i was very stoked ,the recomendation came from a long time member who should be full MOB but has never been considered. since becoming full MOB ,all issues have always been voted upon here ,anyones opinions have always been welcome here in the past ,i just think things have changed a bit . i want to wish every one good luck and hope im welcome in playing your servers, they are the best.thanks for the fun.

Good to know we have enough for a party.

James, the council wasn't a place where decisions were made. It was where the facade was erected so we thought we had a voice. Having three separate votes to select someone as a MOB member and have all three ignored was just one of the issues that made me realize that the "community" was no longer in control.

As a full MOB member, I was amazed and saddened that I would learn of the move to a new domain through an email AFTER THE FACT.

None of these recent actions have added to our number one goal of having fun. This is supposed to be a place where we come to relax and get away from stress. The past year all MOB has given me is more stress.

I too was surprised when we did have a vote for change on servers only to have the change changed without warning. I felt as though what we MOB and Regs wanted was not taken into consideration. Since then, I found myself visiting MOB servers less often.

Sure do love the support shown to longstanding members who devoted their talents to making MOB number one on TWL, who spent countless hours recruiting the best of the best to build a team that was second to none. Real class.

Nothng,
There was a poll up in the regs section, I made a reply that IMO we should be carefull what we wish for, and that a lot of what Druid was saying was his opnion as a founder of MOB andit should at least be considered with debate prior to making a shift. That in my opinion he was pointing out things that were bad for the clan and his heart wa in the right place.

I also stated that as Regs most of us did not / could not know the whole story and the vote would be a very poor example of a democracy, therefore we should not vote.

The post disappeared by the next morning. I PM'd an admin and was told it was made invisable so there could be discussion about it in MOB first. If this was not the case then I am extremly disappointed!

James,
You were one of the first people I spoke to in MOB, and your posts always made a lot of sense to me, that's why when I neded advice I pm'd you first even though we did not game much together. I hope to game with you in the future.

Hellfighter, I'm gonna stick around and to debate you at least to prove how wrong you are on most issues laugh.gif Thanks for the props on the George Washington speech and the issue of party politics killing the country.

Lastly, To Pancakes: I hope you read this here or...
here http://www.TheOtherMob.com/TheOtherMobsvb/...p=1113#post1113

I made a mistake about your losing the tags earlier.... I posted to soon and made a sweeping generalization prior to all the facts being in. I also made a second post in the thread backpedaling once I learned more facts.
The mistake I made was rushing to judgement and making a statement without knowing all the facts.
(One of the reasons why I wanted to not see a poll condeming Druid / moving from mobclan.com)
I learned that lesson and have tried not to make the mistake again.

For all of this I apologize, You are a stand up person and I made a mistake.

Yes its funny how that speech shows some things seem destined never to change. Makes you wonder if the Egyptians, Romans and all other societies had their own political ideas recirculating for generations.

Well, there was kind of a discussion going on. It went on for a few pages, but nothing was decided on.
Making the regs post invisible wasn't voted on by MOB. It wasn't even discussed. It may have been mentioned, but at the time I was an admin and moderator, so I can't be sure. I might have just seen it made invisible, or been told it had been set to invisible. Hard to say.
There is a lot that happens that doesn't get voted on.
Decisions are made with MOB's best interest at heart. People are doing what they do for the best interest of the clan.
Make of that what you will.

Just curious who was voted on 3 times? There could be legit reasons for this. Like not enough people voted. Or it was tabled for a while. I would think it would be up to the person who called the vote to ask for some sort of closure to it instead of leaving it in limbo or recalling the vote. I think in general there was a lack of understanding of the process in general and this too could have lead to this. I'm by no means saying this happened any of the above ways just trying to point out that usually there was some sort of reason for this.

Hey Blitz,

Thats not the voting issue I was talking about. I was talking about the vote we had to put up a MWBA Barb. It was voted on and clearly passed. The server was put up and taken down in less than 2 weeks. I believe it was pulled down because we had put it up on Steel's server (i think that was a poor decision to put it in place of Steel's server, it should have been put up in the MWBA server instead) and then it was competing with another BA server and those that played on Steel's server how it was. I seen many non-MOB players come in and complain. The server was switched back. I felt as though our say in things had no effect on what is done. I did receive a explaination afterwards as to the reasoning why, but the question always remained in my head as to why did it get put on the server it did, why not on the one it originally was on, the one with MWBA? It would not have taken Steel's hard work server she had, and it would not give us 2 BA servers. When I asked people that played in the MWBA server, many said they would love Barb back. It was treated as though we tried to run it again for 2 weeks and it failed. I just didnt like how we tried.
