I may need Bargod to chime in on this (and possibly Blk)

I've been drinkin Cuervo since I'm knee high to a dog turd.

Whats with all these new young bartenders tryin to sell me "smoother" tequuila.

Listen son. I don't drink tequila (or any alcohol) because its smooth. I have a penis. Better check and see if you have one.

I understand Chicks need Margaritas. Fuck they already ruined the Martini. Gonna let them tak the Margarita too?

Hell no. Over my inebriated body. Men drink Cuervo. If its smooth its not Tequila.

Yes, I understand that Patron is smooth. Thats why nobody wastes it on a frickrn Margarita!

Bar, help me please. tongue.gif

C'mon, Shred! For a late-night, tequila-soaked thread, this is mighty, mighty tame.

We need Bargod to illustrate the proper way to write a drunken post.

But, let me shift to beer for a moment. Shred, have you tried Allagash Curieux?

http://www.allagash.com/curieux.htm

Hard to spell, but damn, that stuff rocks! I think your penis would like it as well! LOL!
Shred
Haaaa

ok I had a litlle buzz.

But dude, this guy was so smug.
"people only drink Cuervo cause they know the name"
Shred
Curieax?

No but I've had the Allagash white.

Not bad

its the swagger in ordering it ,i think. alot of people now are shying away from a dark tequila ,so alot of people want patron silver. the idiot who was serving you doesnt realize that in the last 5 years people know the patron name better than cuervo.if you talk to someone who really knows tequilas (theres a few out there) they will tell you yes patron tastes a bit smoother but its still crap, the only difference in my bar is price IMO $4.50 shot of c $8.50 shot of patron sad.gif .i believe the agave plant is getting harder to produce ,so the quality of tequilas are getting worse so youll pay for quality.

go buy 2 bottles of rail dark tequila ,pour into a glass container .add 3 peeled prickly pears and let it soak for 3 days.itll prevent hangovers and make the best marg ever dribble.gif ,had 4 last nite.

Just drink Mezcal.... Monte Alban and eat the worm you sissy...

Although not a true tekillya the effects are much the same tongue.gif

There are 2 kinds of people in this world people who drink tequila and people who USED to drink tequila!

Put me in the latter category.

It's all about the burbon.

Bookers, Makers mark, Basil Hayden, Bullet, Knob creek, Evan Willams, Woodford and my old buddy Jim Beam...... dribble.gif
Bargod
Cuervo isn't really tequila. But I get your point.
When I started drinking tequila it was because I was looking for a more challenging shot. I've had some very good tequila's, though, and I don't think any are really worth the price.
James, there was an Agave blight in '99 I think which is right around the time when Americans started to take an interest in the smaller batch tequilas. I think the prices are just over inflated for the product, but I feel that way about most liquor these days.

Oh, yeah. There are plenty of idiots having me waste expensive tequila in margarita's. The point of mixing alcohol is to cover up the taste of cheap liquor.
