Oh my friggan sweet cheebus! I can't remember the last time I wanted to get high as much as trying to play that game!!!! I can easily see myself quite a few years back just waking up at 2pm and smoking a bit and playing until 5 am... just the same friggan level!
The music is right up my alley as well.
Dammit, I haven't jones'd like this in a while...

I can't get past Level 10!

Being unusually wise, I took the hint from Tim and Hamma's words of 'frustration' and decided not to initiate trying out your link Robert!

I made it through levle 20 but took 432 shapes to finish the game as I wasted a lot early on.
Now I'm going to try it again while using less than 300.
It's interesting to sit back an think about the the different ways to complete the harder levels.

A couple of grenades and a zook would really help!!

My goodness, that's a clever game...

I've stopped at Level 12 (how can I save my progress?!?!?!!?!?!?!11 ahhh)

Level 10 took me a while.

Uh, yeah, having some trouble with lvl. 5...
I'm not going back there any more!

Phew, made it to 19, but I have to admit, I gave up on using shapes conservatively.

Take a look at the game you two Brits, you'll enjoy it.

It's apparent all of you playing it are neglecting sleeping, eating, and skipping work. Soon you'll stop shaving and not realise you haven't showered in weeks.....

If you guys could only know how hard I laughed at your two responses. In fact, there for a brief moment, I reached for my headset to pull it away from my ears thinking I was hearing Dean break into one of his rants! LOLOLOL!

I like games that make you think ... when you aren't playing them. This one woke me up yesterday and I realized I had figured out something significant. I had to wait until last night to try it out and was amazed at the difference. I was able to complete it using only 181 pieces, but now I want to go back and apply what I've learned to some of the levels that I totally sucked at.

Level 10 killed me. It took me a ridiculous 32 pieces in that one. I clearly have to figure out a better method.

The biggest help is when you realize you can pin other shapes to the ball.
It's mentions it in the directions but I think most people skip over that point.
I've done a lot of the harder ones building something like a trebuchet, then quickly erasing the connection to the ball so it will fly across the screen.
With a little practice and using tricks like that, should be able to do it with less than 200, maybe even down to 150 range.

OK, so I broke down and decided to try again. Now when I click on the link I don't see a way to start the game...

For those who like puzzle/logic games.... this one kept me up for a month in college. Although it was difficult it may have had something to do with my blood alcohol content. Once you get to level 20 or so you pretty much have to figure out every move before you even start. Have fun...

For me, the big aha moment was when I discovered that I could lift the square and then pin the square inside a ball. Being able to push, or throw around a ball was a hell of a lot easier than moving a square object.

Bar, I had the same problem. I think they did something to their link. I had to resort to searching the site for Magic Pen and it showed up. When I selected it, all my old scores were still there.

I'm down to 131!

Just watched a video where a guy did the whole game while only using 29 shapes.
Kind of cheated on a few of the levels by drawing a single shape in a way the game didn't like but resulted in the ball hitting the flag.

For those who enjoyed this, you should really check out portal.

I wish that were the case, my friend. I've been jammed with a big project and haven't had time for much gaming. I did enjoy going back to Magic Pen when I needed a break to clear my head. Lots of fun until Robert ruined it by mentioning that video. I hunted it down and was absolutely amazed at the solutions used. I had stumbled upon the same solutions for only a couple of them. If you haven't checked it out, give it a go, it makes for a nice diversion and challenges you to think spatially.

Check this out. This guy carves INCREDIBLE wooden motorcycles that sell for thousands of dollars, all while serving a 25-year sentence...

The guy is an incredible artist! The photo was taken before he carved the engine. He does every part out of wood, even down to the chain and cables.

....and the best part of that luvly-jubbly pic you posted is the ending; the guards allowed him to take it out into the prisonyard to show it off only to discover the thing actually worked as it raced off with 800hp and busted through the prison fence to freedom -with sculptor/rider flashing birdie behind him as he disappeared out of view.
