In the last month I have been accused of cheating by several players and/or Clans. Let me set the record straight. I DO NOT CHEAT. I take the game very seriously.

I am tring to build a good reputation for playing the game, just like all of MOB's players do. The following information may answer some questions or concerns about me and the question of cheating.

1. On one clan server I was camping out (sorry) in an ally and made 18 kills before I was ganged up on and killed. The next thing I know is someone is flaging me as cheating and that I should be banded. I was disconnected and banded from there server.

2. While on the MOB #1 server, I was accused of cheating on the Stalingrad Map when I was luckey enought to have 21 kills with one 1 kill against me. One player thought I was wall hacking or something and accused me of cheating. But I have noticed that this player accuses anybody that gets the best of him as a cheater.

3. Recently on another server, playing Remagen, I was also accused of cheating when I had racked up a high score (50+) with very few deaths. One of the players was asscueing me of using a aimbot. If the player had noticed that I had a ping rate of 20 to 25 and his was above 100. Most of the other player had at least 50 to 150 ping rate. Do the math.

4. Tonight, I was on MOB#1 playing and Nixon ran some screen capture program that captured my score. He asked me to email him the files. I immedeately sent him the six screen capture files. I have no clue what they show or even what to look for in determining whether or not you are cheating. Later that night, Nixon found me on another server after he had reviewed the files and gave me an appology. I think?

I like playing the MOHAA game and in the past year I have gotten good on several maps. Not as good as some of the MOB players, but I am working on that. On some maps my score sucks and it will take me some time to master playing them. I enjoy playing on the MOB servers and playing against some of the player, even though I do not know them. MOB has a reputation of being professional players with a helpful attitude to others.

I hope to continue playing on your servers with your permission.

Lt.Stone the said fact is a lot of people getting those kinds of scores are cheating.
I realize it's insulting to be accused of cheating, but look at it this way.
If your accused of cheating when your not, take it as a compliment.

I know of several servers where the admins will kick and ban a player with nothing more to go on than suspicion and good scores. We try to handle the cheating problem a little different, which is why Nixon forced the screenshots.
We enjoy the competition, so the last thing we want to do is ban someone who a skilled player and isn't cheating. So instead of banning people we force the screenshots so the good players can prove they weren't cheating. Unfortunately it's guilty until proven innocent, but this is the best way to try and keep or servers as cheat free as possible.

A good example, Nixon forced screenshots on you and you sent them in, because you didn't have anything to hide. Yesterday I forced screenshots on 3 different player who I'm sure was using hack skins. All 3 left the second I forced the screenshots, 2 of them tried to come back later under different names.

Believe me stone I understand what you are talking about; but, druid summed it up the best. After getting the screenshots out of the way no one will accuse of cheating on the servers, & if Nixon apologized it was that indeed & sincere.
Also, if it was Cold_beer who accused you, just remember as a kid he took the short yellow bus to school

I enjoy playing on the MOB servers because I feel certain that I am playing against the best. I feel this is the only way I can learn to be good. And Johnzillah, your right I do camp out too much. I will try to be more fluid in the game next time I play.

Druid, thanks for the input. I am still a novice at some of the basics in playing the game. For example, When Nixon ask me to send him the screen shots I wasn’t sure how or what to do. He was very patience in directing me on where to look for the files.

Now that I have a better understanding of the Screen captures, I feel it is a good idea for eliminating the cheaters.

Just to put us all on the same page here.

I was asked by several players, at different times to screen shot Stone to see if he was using any kind of cheats. I took two series of screen shots and then brought him into spectate. We had a brief talk on where the SS's where and how to send them to me. He responded with no problem, and sent them to me immediately.

I reviewed all of them and they matched up perfectly and were 100% clean. I emailed him back apologizing for taking away from his gaming time, and explained to him that it is just all part of trying to keep the servers as clean and fair as possible.

I did a search on ASE to see if he was still playing, when I found him I talked to him in spectate for a minute, and asked him to please come back and join the killing on MOB server 2, which he did.

The moral of the story is much as Druid explained.....if you get accused of cheating, and your not, take it as a compliment because you are doing something right.

And Stone, you said that you are going to try and change your camping style....DONT!!!! If that is what works for you (and obviously it does work well) and that is how you enjoy the game, keep it up. We all play different styles, and that is what makes the game exciting and enjoyable.

MOB is proud to have players such as yourself that call MOB servers home....you guys are what makes it great.

I would not have SS'ed him if it was just one player with a complaint (unless it was a MOB guy of course). I got questions from 4 different guys, that is why it was done.

I have to put in my 2 cents (since they're Canadian, you Yankees can consider it 1 cent).

Most of the players on MOB's servers are regulars, and are honest good players. When non-regulars play, and get unusually high scores, it attracts attention. Often when I play in other servers and get high scores, I get accused of cheating (anyone who saw me play last night won't believe it's possible for me to get a high score).

On MOB's servers, a couple of the regular players are policeman. Sometimes this means you are guilty in their eyes until proven innocent, but they have good hearts and are a lot of fun. (I heard a rumour that one of these highway patrolmen pistolwhipped an 87 year old lady in a wheelchair for jaywalking !)

{DMW}Wassy - your right about the attention. How do you handle the players when they flag you for cheating with a high score?

Nixon, I appreciate the advice. The only reason I camp as much as I do is because it's about the only way I can get a kill against most of you excellent players. I do not have anyone to talk to about tactics or strategy, but I am slowly trying to develop some.

Stone....just so you know stats for MOB server #1 are kept, there is a link on the home page.

As Druid said, once the other MOB servers find their permanent home, stats will be kept for them as well.

You are also one of the harder people to kill out of the regulars

Nixon - What do you read the skill level. High number the better or low number the better?

Stone....the higher the skill # the better. It is rated by a few things....number of kills, deaths, and the weapon you use. Example is the rocket would be worth less skill ponts than the rifle.

I feel that my uniform has wall paint on it since you taught me that the best way to stay alive is to hug the wall. I cant tell you how many times you nailed me walking straight down the walkway.

Camping - I dont know, Little Old Man is the best I have seen. He gots more locations to hide in than Iraq has oil wells, and he's doug in deeper than a Alabama tick. Lol.
