Do you guys consider missionary a cheat?
Missionary is a client side anti-cheat.
So no... It wouldn't be considered a cheat.

Copied from the IW forums:
Missionary for Counter Intelligence
Missionary is the client side tool that will help Counter Intelligence (CI) to keep your server as cheat free as it can possibly be. It is like Reverend is to MatchWatch except is structure and techniques are quit different
How Missionary Works
When players come on your server with Missionary, it has already checked and ensured that they have no cheats or files that you do not want on your server. Unlike some of the programs out there that have them come on and then throws up flags saying they have illegal files, when they may have just left in a custom gunsight, Missionary will take care of all of that before they even come on. Missionary will also let the player know before coming on if there name is not appropriate along with informing them about your server, files that they can have, and the current status. If they are on the ban list that you send it, they will not even be allowed to start Missionary to your server. You can even choose (Not Recommended) to use all of the available banned list if desired. (I believe it is only important to stop cheats and unwanted players from coming on the server, not making a be deal about kicking them.) Players coming on with Missionary, who do something to be banned, will also find that changing names and IPs will not be enough.
How CI works with Missionary
On the server side (CI) you will have the following options for Missionary; Optional, Required for your team, Required for Everyone, and whether to allow MAC users who do not have the ability (Presently) to use Missionary. CI will check the players when they come on. If they are using Missionary and all test have passed, they will be informed that they have been verified and will be now allowed to change skins and game settings. If they fail, and Missionary is required for them, they will be kicked. CI also has an second level of security, it selected, that will continue to ensure that Missionary is functioning properly. Should someone figure a way to get a cheat on, in level 2 they will be kicked on the next Skin/Cheat scan.

Everytime I use it , it says there is a newer version out. IW Blackbart must update it at least 2 times a day or more. It would be a great program if everybody would jump aboard. Reasons for using it are here from Blackbart himself. from
http://invisiblewarriors.com Blackbart writes "
Why use Missionary?
1. It provides an anti cheat environment
2. It is a utility for MOH with the following features
a. Auto updates itself
b. Downloads maps and mods automatically and continues loading
c. If server is full, it will watch for a player to leave and put you in the game
d. A built in buddy system for all Missionary Server
e. An all seeing eye setup for all Missionary Server
f. Help for some of the MOH re-install issues
g. Know all about the server before you log on to play
h. All weapons mods are only available on servers running Missionary
This is your chance to show that you are an honesty player and want a cheat free environment to play.

I have M , and played on IW's M server. It was nice to play a few maps and not have to worry about guys hacking up a storm .I think we should all put up at least one of our servers as Missionary. DMG is in the process of doing so now. You guys gonna get on board as well MOB ?
~WaR~
thank you guys for explaining it to me
Actually we are in the process right now.
My only concern is if people will support it.
for me the constant complaints about so-and-so cheating, when half the time it's just the person in denial, is just as bad as the people who actually cheat.
As Bart so wonderfully put.
It's time to put up or shut up.
I'll be very curious to see how many of the constant complainers about cheating won't take the extra 30 seconds to play on a missionary server.
i would play on missionary
I'd do the Missionary position!! What about MOD"S you guys use Blood mods?
until we are are sure there would be enough support, I plan on leaving it stock.
If the missionary server proves to be a sucess, then I would happily take request for client side mods. ( skins, weapons skins, crossairs, blood-mods )

I know this is a stupid question...but your MOD will be running correct?
I CANNOT wait until this server is up and running....I honestly think that it will be a huge success.

Thats good to hear Druid, and I agree ...the constant complaining and "can you watch this guy...or watch that guy...and so an so is a hacker " is hard on the ears and eyes after a while.
I hope all the regulars get on board and get Missionary, and also spread the word to their buds and so forth.
This is what everyone has wanted for a very long time now...and now that its here...lets not pussy foot around guys...go get it ,and get it working. It only takes 5 minutes to do.
~WaR~
Let's stop talkign and do it. I am more than ready!!

To answer Nixon's question, yes you can run whatever realism mod you'd like. That shouldn't change. What's nice about the program is all the clientside mods that are clean (skins, sound, etc.) can be built into that particular server, provided the admin approves of them first.
One note I'll add:
For some people, missionary takes some time to get up and running properly. For whatever reason, some of the pk3 checks will go bad and missionary won't start. Many of these problems are caused simply by having an anti-virus running. Because it is encrypted, anti-virus software will pick up missionary and associated files as a virus and they conflict. Disabling the program normally won't do it. You must immune missionary and the correct files in the antivirus directories. Much of this is listed in the help section, so if you experience problems look there first. If you think you need additional help you can always come onto the IW teamspeak and ask Bart directly. He is on throughout the day usually.
It might take a little work on your part but it should be worth it if enough people will give it a shot. I am noticing alot more people on our servers using it, as opposed to a month ago.
for some reason the Invisible Warrior url im typing in isnt working for me, im getting a 500 error
is this the right link?

Im looking forward to playing with missionary.

The site has been up and down the past couple days. It is back up now.
Hey, i just downloaded the program, and initialized the installer and it installed. No little program came up, so, it just put files onto my computer right? Is that all i need to do to play on a Missionary server?

Should've put a shortcut on your desktop. If not, go into program files and select it from there. It will bring up the interface to launch the game.
I'm there let me know what to download and when

I have a Mac.... how will this effect me? I am trying to understand but
I have a very little brain.
Mac's can't use the missionary program. There is an option to allow Mac's to connect without using it, we'll be using this option.
Although there are a few cheats available for Macs, 99% are for PC's only.

Going over to Missionary is the best way to go to insure fair play. It Gets rid of cheaters. A few extra seconds of setup is a small price to pay for a clean game.
Thanks Druid, for putting in the time, effort, and work in setting up Missionary. MANY THANKS FROM US ALL.

Yeah Druid a BIG thanks for taking this step. I think once MOB takes this step many others will to. MOB seems to be the benchmark for this game. I have one question. Will this be the only way to connect to the MOB servers, or can ASE be configured to use Missionary also?
Zillah
You will have to open missionary and then connect to our server. It's not possible to join via ASE or gamespy.

Excellent point! But that problem will be solved soon. We plan on making Missionary mandatory to play on our servers in the very near future.
