Split Teams
To little easy words, totaling all of 10 letters. Easy enough to be understood by anyone but is incomprehensible to some people.
An issue happened on the server recently where a group of people after being asked multiple times in the past to split teams when they play here, still refused to abide by this simple request. The request is for one reason, to keep it fair and fun for everyone playing on the server.
This time the issue went far beyond 2 or 3 people keeping the teams uneven as a way to boost their stats. This time it was obviously done with the malicious intent of driving people off the server as that was the end result. Then as juvenile poke at me and my request, all 5 of them kept it even, by switching teams together as a group but only after driving several players off the server out of sheer frustration. Then to top it all off, not only did they stack the teams but spammed the server with voice taunts 350 times over 2 maps. For some people 350 times over 2 maps may not seem excessive but considering most of the players in question rarely used them in the past, it leads me to one conclusion. I can only assume people on the other team where not leaving fast enough to suit them, so they decided they may as well irritate the other players as well.
The last time the subject of splitting teams was brought up. Someone didn't like that I discussed it in public and thought I should have contacted them via email and kept it private. Well guess what, this happened publicly on our server so it may as well be discussed here publicly.
I thinks it's worth noting they didn't want this to negatively reflect on them, so they did this while surfing.

I'm not sure why these guys felt like they had to make asses of themselves while on our server. I also don't know why they thought they would get away with it just because there was no MOB on the server when it happened. Then again, maybe they purposely picked a time when no MOB was on. I guess they didn't want anyone around who could do anything about their so-called way of having fun.

WOW...this was a shock...i did not realize that TLD was doing this to MOB atm? this is kind of strange considering i thought that all the bad feelings were gone but i suppose i was wrong. erm...kinda speechless now that i just had to answer the phone so if i remember what i was going to say i will post it later.

Apparently MOB guys as well. I was palying yesterday for a few as Hannibal; 2 times Diesel said even the teams, no one would go so you think he would switch & even them of course not. Him & Nate were both on the same team against 5 on the opposing including myself...SPLIT TEAMS.

None of us play enough on the server to care about our stats

As I recall only about 3 people left whose slots were filled rather quickly.

Actually we do the same thing on our server, usually there's better players in there though. So the teams don't get all out of whack.

What's funny about this, is this was same thing we did while in MOB. It was never mentioned then.

Not man enough to show their real names? Everyone knows players are tracked by IP so why even bother?

As to the subject of there being better players on the TLD server...I've looked several times, as I enjoy the challenge of playing against the ex mob players, but I've yet to find a decent number of players on that server.

Why arent you using your reall names when you come in..I like to know who im killing and raping..as for {MOB} being on the same team nothing wrong with that as far i see as your were doing ok the teams werent stacked..then too many people were joing our team thats why i joined yours...As for spamming in the server thats why Agg got banned also..You guys use 2 be in the same clan for how long? Nice too see how long it takes for the bitterness to develop...As for better players ..>LMFAO.. U have 10 players on your server at a time and thats why alot of the old regs are on your server cuz u used our server to get them their..... be a man about it you shoulda used ur real names when you come on.. i mean, with your own server and everything, it seems a bit strange.
there would have to be some reason you and your team would come to a place in a small group, under false identities, and play on the same team....on the server you used to be a part of, no less.

Panzer it's funny you decided to reply seeing as how the last time this came up we were on the server together. When I asked you guys to split teams you through a tiff and left. Also when this came up last time, I specifically remember saying I kept my mouth shut several times when it involved you and a few others while in MOB, because I didn't want to create waves. Well, times are different and you are no longer in MOB.
I know from speaking to a few people that play on both of our servers, there is a running joke by some TLD members saying how the MOB server is a newb server now that you guys quit. The fact is we lost several good regulars while you guys where here because of this exact situation.
I also don't understand why you would claim the MOB server is suddenly a newb server seeing as how many of you still play here, just under different names.

As far as, Diesel and Nate being on the same team, here's a few questions.
How uneven where the scores?
How uneven was the talent levels? probably not by much seeing as how you already said you were on the other team.
You do understand there is a difference between 2 people and 5 people. If you can't figure it out the difference is 3.
You are also trying to cloud the point when you mention BlakJak as being there.
He was on the same team as you until the 5 smurfing TLD players switched teams as a group to allied after chasing off most of the allied players.
You can't deny the stacking of teams was on purpose.
The log file shows "join-team" commands, 2 of you 1st joined the server as allied then quickly switched to axis to stack the team.
If the two who originally joined as Allied would of stayed on that team, this would of never been an issue.

No actually it was 7 people, the fact some of the slots filled back up is completely besides the point. There was no reason for you guys to come on smurfing, stack the teams to make it so uneven a 3rd of the people leave. Do you think I should apologize because your idea of having fun is ruining other people's fun?

If you didn't think you were doing something people wouldn't agree with, why the need to smurf? One of the people was here playing with their tag on, soon as the rest of you joined, off came his tag and then as a group you went to town.


Maybe you should tell Crafty that, because when asked about it on your forum he said you guys split teams to keep it fair and fun for everyone while playing on YOUR server.

Although while we are on the subject, I play in several other servers every now and then to keep in touch with other players. On some of the servers spawn killing is against the rules, As much as I disagree with that rule, I abide by it while on their server. I don't know why you can't abide by a simple request to split teams when you play here. Or are you going to now claim I haven't asked you this exact same thing before?

Since I was the one from TLD to start it, I'll end it. Druid I wanted to apologize to you for not keeping the teams even. Even though I don't agree with all of your points, we can agree to disagree. Nonetheless, you asked us on different occassions to keep the teams even & we should have obliged. After all, we no longer contribute monetarily for the server.

I'm not doing this to get unbanned, I could care less. However, as Ashe pointed out Druid has done a lot for all of us including myself.

I hate to revive an old topic but I feel that I must include my own apology in this thread.

I apologize for my part in this incident to MOB and Druid in particular. Druid warned me of this and I failed to follow his request. For that I am clearly in the wrong and hope to be forgiven for what I did.

There is one thing I would like to state, however. The spamming that I did is actually a normal thing for me. I spam heavily on our server as well. Please understand that it was not my intention to be inconsiderate to the other players in the server at the time.

I'm not trying to dodge guilt or rationalize anything that happened. I've always been able to admit I was wrong and I am clearly wrong in this matter. My sincerest apologies to you.

I have a couple of comments about this whole business as well. Yes, I was playing with the tld guys on the mob server, and was the only one on the opposing team who was over .500 I believe. What they did was childish and immature, and I would know- I was on Vent with them at the time. However, I am disappointed in the condemnation of keeping unfair teams when this shit does go down all the time on MOB servers as well. Many times the numbers may only be slightly off but the talent levels are way out of proportion. This problem is not as bad on the MOB serer anymore as many members have left, replaced by less experienced players, but it still happens. Furthermore, the first thing I say to Aggression when he enters thier server- you damn spam whore. Every time, without fail he spams the console when he is in there. Just my honest opinion and observation from playing on the MOB server for almost a year now.

I going to be honest here...I have been in Goodfellas in the past & present where the teams are very unfair or stacked.....I think the biggest problem is everyone worried about the stats page or their scores.....Your amazing scores in a packed server DON"T MEAN SHIT when it comes to match play.....I personally always jump on the unstacked team on any server including my own..Why?????Because it makes you become an Elite Player in MOHaa.....I care more about my skill level & how to push out of a spawn area against other skilled players,then having my name on a stats page at or near the top......Actually I look for servers with less players in them,thats where you learn a lot about how to play this game.....Thats my $2.50 cents.......
