still can't get miss to load 4 me. It won't to the pak checks, and just sits at the main screen saying update check accomplished you are running the most recent version of missionary for CI.
I have NO antivirus running at the moment - uninstalled NAV as it kept giving me BSOD's, and my NOD32 expired (the serial # I found for it didn't work any more either)
WinXP firewall is disabled - doesn't work when its enabled either.
I tried what P suggested and ran the updates from within the miss. folder but still no dice.
I'm running that .030 version
ideas? help? Don't want to go in the server w/o missionary
Did you try uninstalling it and reinstalling it? After you uninstall you may want to go through the registry (if your familiar with it) and remove all MISSIONARY items from it, then reinstall again.

yep forgot to mention that I did that already
Did you happen to upgrade to sp2? If you did try disabling your firewall.

I used to have miss problems as well when I wasnt running any AV, after i got NAV 2003 pro loaded and miss excluded things worked fine for me. I dunno if this is your problem but hook up with me on msn and i can send you NAV 2003 pro....if you like
thx dream - i have nis 2003 and 2004 and both give me bsod problems.
i'll look for another antivirus, install that and see what happens.
Real - I checked that and tried it with the firewall on/off - no difference
I know this is redunant but I would delete the missioanary direcotory then reinstall.
NOD32 is probably the BEST AV program out there. Check it out at
NOD32.COMShifty, for your missionary problem....
Go to your mohaa directory and click on the CONFIGURE.EXE file. If you get an error, then right click on the configure file and set the compatibility mode to win98.
Then try missionary again.
ya I had NOD32, but the username/pw I had expired and I could no longer update it

I agree - it was a great program, but I didn't want an antivirus I couldn't update!
