Last night, {MOB} defeated TLD to over take Rung #1 on the OGL Ladder.

In May of this year, 12 of our 19 members decided to leave {MOB} to begin their own clan. This left us with only 7 remaining members - myself, Druid, Casino, Big Dick Daddy, Ktulu, Cypher and Busta (since retired).

To the members that decided to stay with {MOB} and stick it out: I am forever grateful. Especially Druid. For without him none of this would have been possible. I have always joked around and called Druid my Consigliere (Itlaian for advisor/counsellor), but in all seriousness it's true. Not only have Druid and I developed an excellent friendship but he is also someone I can go to for guidance and he will always steer me in the right direction.

We lost alot of talented players due to the split, a level of talent that took us more than a year to build. I will admit that at that time, I had my doubts about the future of {MOB}. How would we ever recover? Especially this late in the game. Most people in the community said that {MOB} was dead, that the end of an era has come. Despite all of this, we were not about to give up on all of the effort spent in building this clan and making it into one of the best MOHAA clans in the community.


So we carefully re-built our roster. First came Diesel, then FutureMan, NastyNate, Shifty, Steejans, Big P, Stockguy, Cable (He is an invisible mime), Sabo, Ambience and our last recruit was Scarface. Before we knew it, we had our roster filled again, with not just great talented players, but a bunch of really great guys on a personal level that I now consider part of my family.

At the time of the split and while we were recruiting new players, we put our OGL team on rest and asked that we be moved to the bottom of the ladder. This was so that we could work and practice as a team to work our way back up the ladder on our own. {MOB} went from the #2 spot down to the #23 spot. In July 2004, only 2 months after the split, we took our OGL team off rest and began our climb to the top.

Here we sit today in the coveted #1 spot atop the OGL ladder, only a little more than 2 months since playing together as a team on OGL and despite all those that thought {MOB} was dead, we made it!

This is a remarkable accomplishment and I have never been so proud to be associated with such a great bunch of guys in my life. Their dedication, hard-work and practice is what made this all possible.

Think about it... the 6 remaining {MOB} members stayed despite what looked to be a bleak future and on top of that, we were able to recruit new talented players that were willing to join a clan that had just had a major split.

Well {MOB} is going strong and will continue to go strong!

We won't stay #1 forever, no clan does. But we've made it back to where {MOB} belongs and the future only looks brighter.

No matter what happens going forward, this was huge.


I would also like to give a HUGE thank you to Ashe and all of the guys from
={DMG}=. They played ALOT of scrimmages against us in the past 2 weeks to help us prepare for our match for the #1 spot. They're support of {MOB} is second to none and for that all of us at {MOB} really appreciate it.


From here on out, there will be no more talk of old {MOB} and new {MOB} and blah blah blah..... From here on out we are {MOB} -PERIOD-

That is great. I knew there were a bunch of quality players on here. Maybe one day I'll get to here the detailed history of MOB.

Congrats boys. You guys practiced your butts off and deserved the win. There is now a sense of relief for me that it is over, for I dont have to hear Shifty's dumb sounding voice on Ventrillo anylonger!!!

Amen Real. Im so blessed to be a part of this clan. You guys are great, and i wouldnt want to find myself with any other group of guys. Awesome job, we do deserver it. All the scrims, and practicing. It paid off greatly. Thx for the good words all of you. Benny, it showed some class on your part to post the kind words.

Congrats to the other MOB members who practiced hard for this match. I would especially like to commend DIESEL to his hard efforts and revisions of plans and ideas. To how he no matter how well hes doing in the open server would go out just to show people ideas. If it wasn't for this cockhead, i don't know if we would have gotten here so fast.

Same to realdeal where his patience with me and others brought us to victory.

Im must say RD you were bold in taking your team to the bottom of OGL to start over fresh with new players..I think it has paided off for you...Bottom line you prepare for a match you most likely will win...Its really amazing what a little practice does...Congrats fellas well deserved...Just keep it warm for us & try not to get to comfortable..LOL....
