OK, I've been wanting to do this for months, but I couldn't find a free webpage that would host mp3's. Anyway, today I finally figured out that I've been able to do it all along with my stupid SBC Yahoo account. I never thought to click on the stupid "briefcase" on my Yahoo tool bar. Duh.
Anyway, here is the first installment. Listen to it. DO IT!

OK, I think I figured it out. I clicked on something that said "share with family and friends" so I think it was private b4. OK, guys, give it another try.

Alright, I know it will work this time. I created a new file and made it open to the public and I moved the music there and put in a new link to it. If it doesn't work this time I'll just stop.

I think you have the link wrong. Try doing it from a link like this:
http://briefcase.yahoo.com/yourusername
Then just click through until you get to the file you want, and copy and paste that link onto here.

i copied and paste the url in the address toolbar and this is what it says

This is odd, because this is Yahoo share with friends and family thing. I've followed all their damn instructions and still no luck. Oh, well.

OK, I know what's wrong now. After reading thru a bunch of the Yahoo! breifcase help files I read that the general public can no longer have access to the briefcase, even though it still says it's a feature. However people with Yahoo ID's should be able to see or hear whatever is in my briefcase. So that would explain why POB heard the songs (at least if he uses yahoo).
So, it looks like my quest will continue for a free web page to host mp3's.
Sigh.
