In the past 4-5 days I have had some problems playing on goodfellas. My ping always used to be between 50 and 60 and I never had a problem with missionary slowing me down either, but recently my ping has been around 100-200 changing constantly every time I move and shoot making it almost unplayable. I have scanned for spyware and shit like that because that is the only thing i have come up with that could be my problem besides my connection, but all my other programs and games are running as good as ever.... Any suggestions to restore my ping would be helful.

Are your other games running fine online? I found after using my MOH disk and scanning for servers that the Goodfellas server was slow as shit while getting good ping from others. This was an issue I had last week and posted. But everything is fine now. Could be a major backbone line somewhere between you and Goodfellas that is overloaded with traffic. Same would happen to me a while back between 7 p.m. and midnight but after they replaced a backbone line it was good. Listen to this one. I remember one time my ping got really slow so I turned around and saw that my daughter was sending multiple pictures through her email on the other computer. I could have killed her but she didn't know better. If you want to just test your line speed go to Speakeasy or Broadbandreports.

Yeah, my brother's ping has been absolutely wigging out. It's usually 50, but today it was 330. No one was on any of the other ocmputers and we can usually play at the same time on two different computers with no problem. I dunno...

Most likely you are hitting a bad router on the way to the server.
These kinds of problems happen all the time, most often they will work themselves out in a few days.

Ok cool, but being impatient like I am I did a system restore which was probably not necassry... but everything is back to normal now

Off the subject, but I've been wanting to say it for a long time that I think your avatar is really cool. Btw SBC pro works for me. Also put in a 3.4 P4 and an ATI 9800 XT, and get the lowest ping of the game, like I do.

Processor and Video Card has nothing to do with the ping, (at least you try to run mohaa in a pentium I wich is impossible) your connection speed, possible spybots and antivirus does,
