Ok guys, I need some help and/or ideas.
The web hosting company I host with provides us with 12gb of bandwidth per month. This is about average among the better hosting companies. It costs me $20 bucks a month for that. For every additional gb of bandwidth, I pay $5 bucks. I bought an additional 5gb for the month of August bringing the total bandwidth to 17gb. (For those that do not know what bandwidth is, click HERE for a definition)

Well guess what guys, it's only August 4 and we are well over 16gb of bandwidth! I never dreamed that we would become so big, so fast. If you take a look at the download page, you'll see that MOB pack 1 has been downloaded 423 times, MOB pack 2, 232 times, MOB pack 3, 224 times and the sound pack has been downloaded 178 times. Each of the map packs is approximately 20mb.... that's a lot of bandwidth!!!

So I am looking for ideas on what to do. I would like to keep these maps on the site for at least the next few months so that everyone can download the new maps.

Druid/Fag - If you guys can find out if we can host some of the files on the servers somehow I would appreciate it. We would just need to be able to link to the file on the server.

If anyone else has any storage available.. let me know. In the meantime, I bought another 5gb of bandwidth.

I replied to you in email..... I have tons of room on our hosted server so just tell me how to point the database to that spot and I'll take care of switching it over.

I don't know much about this or exactly what is needed.
So tell me if something like this would work.
If all you need is to be able to link to the files, I did some searching and found a web host. It offers 250mb of storage and 25gb of transfers for $8.00/month plus a $20 set up fee.
Is it possible to use a place like that to download the maps from? It would be a lot cheaper than bleeding out $5/gb extra here. If it will work, I'll cover the setup fee.

Definately would not want to go over the 25/gb there. Over 25/gb is $8/gb.
They also have an "Excessive Resource User Policy", where they can pull the site for using morw than 1gb/day.
So, it may not be as good as it was on 1st glance.

$10.00 gets 200mb of space and 20gb/bandwith. Extra bandwith is $1.75/gb
