I like the first one.

The First one is the sharper looking one .However I think you could use something in the background maybe what you did in the second but not as bright maybe just a lighter touch if you know what I mean

do you guys still use paint shop pro or are you guys using additional software for some of these effects.

I use photoshop 7, and imageready for the animations.
