i dont know that PS3 is looking hot. wonder what nintendo is gonna pull out there rear? the psp can be used as a controller with a tactial screen? thats hot! but xbox has had some seriously hot games and there graphics are so much better.......the debate continues!

If you are going to buy a console you might as well just take your money and set it on fire. Consoles are for people who lack the mental capasity to operate a computer, like little prepeubesent girls. I used to think consoles were the shit until I realized that 1) The graphics suck my nuts compared to a PC or MAC 2) All you can do is play games, unless you have a mod chip which allows for music, movies or whatever, which in the end is still worthless. 3) There is always shit you need to buy like memory cards, harddrives, and otherworthelessdevicesthatcostjustasmuchastheconsole. 4) Upgrades? Nope. You are stuck with what you have. Not to mention the lack of support for games. Big glitch in the game? Tough shit buddy.

After awhile it just got to me that this whole console thing is just a big waste of money. Or at least it was for me.

I somewhat agree with scarface... however I do enjoy playing SOME console games such as halo 2 and grand theft auto.

As far as the console wars goes, I have a severe dislike for sony and own both a gamecube (waste of money) and an xbox. PS3 looks like a piece of shit compared to the xbox 360, and that controller looks like a space age dildo.

the ps3 has like 6 usb ports and you can upgrade it, swap hard drives memory and flash sticks. ps3 is going to be more like a pc then a console. xbox isnt. all hd and ps3 is going to have a mega vid card(thingy) called cell? less like a console more like a everything else in one. read up on them its really cool!!

give it about 1-2 years and consols will basically be a computer

the two consoles are expected to be about 1-2 years ahead of most pc's atm, but pcs will easily pass by them soon enough. buying a console with that technology for "$300" isnt that bad at all even if it cant do the things a pc can. buying a $300 graphics card just to keep up with new games on a pc that could probably be outdated in 6 months isnt that smart when you can buy one of those consoles that can handle it for a a few years without the cost of upgrading. imo, its a pretty good investment even without seeing any physical testing.

Atari is still owned by Infogrames but rumors are it may get bought out soon.
