OK, so I'm at the point of the game where you are on a boat heading to Stalingrad. Before I get to the point where I can control what's going on I keep getting killed by a plane straffing the boat! WTF?!?!!? I just decided to play the single player game recently, and have had a nice experience until now. WTF is up. I tried like 5 times in a row, and seeing how the boat ride lasts like 5 minutes this is a big deal. The guy finishes his speech about beating the germans and then bam bam bam I die. WTF is going on? Am I missing something, or is this just a fluke?
Thanks for the help of anyone who has actually played COD single player.
man i agree the single player on COD is the best ever but im not sure my bro beat that lvl 4 me did u try ducking with every 1 else just a thought!
yeah you have to get down. wait till you get to the the building with the square in front.
Bummer, I made it across on the first try without being shot by the stuka's. What level are you playing it on? (Easy,Medium,Hard) I was playing it on Medium. When you do make it across & they send you into the battle, Dont hesitate. Run with them or your own guys will kill you! Much like the movie 'Enemy at the Gates'.

enemy at the gates = good movie
I was always hit by the Stukas, but never killed. You've just got to keep moving toward the star on your compass.

The book War Of The Rats is about the same guy (Vasili Zaitsev) but it is way way WAY better than Enemy At The Gates

YES. EXCELLENT BOOK, WORTH A BUY. I didn't really see enemy at the gates because i was too busy playing CoD, ironically
I finished the game a few days ago. Thanks to the people who said "Duck"! I figured it out on my own, but I was so frustrated at the time. Thanks to everyone who helped anyway, tho!

Ahhh .... That makes sence! I mis-understood what i was reading.
And i agree with Silver. Band of Brothers & Enemy at the Gates seemed to be what CoD single player was based on.
