Just got an e-mail...I haven't heard anything about this virus but I figured I'd post the forwarded e-mail here. Better safe than sorry. It seems kinda sketchy though.

WORST VIRUS EVER --- CNN ANNOUNCED
PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST!!

A new virus has just been discovered that has been
classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee . This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored.

This virus acts in the following manner:
It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list
with the title:
"A Card for You".

As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer
freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the
ctrl+alt+del keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys
Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk. Yesterday
in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York,
according to news broadcast by CNN.

This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself.
So don't open any mails with subject: "A Virtual Card for
You."

I did some searching and I can't find anything about this alleged virus, but whatever. You guys know not to open junk and all that.
Nothing
Hey Ghost,

You can do a google search on this and see that this is a phony virus alert. It is totally fake. I dont know who these people are that get off on making these warnings with fake virus alerts, but they should have their nuts cut off.

Why would anyone beleive crap like that? These same people who believe this crap are usually the ones who get viruses in the first place. What would be a good idea for a virus writer is to follow this up with a "fix" for the virus. If they beleived this dumbass e-mail, they would run the "fix" program without thinking twice.
