An original 440 6-pak Cuda with a 6 pak in this condition would usually sell for $300,000.00 or more. Dave took a 71 Barricuda and built it up as such. He spent years doing it using only NOS and original parts. Even the hood is an original shaker which would sell if separated for probably $2000.00 dollars. Yea, just the hood alone.

Dave did almost all the work himself, had the garage heated for him. This was his dream car. I just cannot understand why he wants to sell it. The kid loves the car and does not want him to sell it. My opinion is..the car is paid for, it's beautiful, why would a guy want to sell it when his wife wants him to keep it? Most woman would be saying sell the car, but I am a car buff too!

And to add to that, to put the money in the bank at the way the interest is.....waste, while the price of the car continues to appreciate. I just don't get it.

And Dave I know you read the threads, so feel free to respond.

Ok guys and gals finally read the post. Yes it is my dream car and really like the car and the building of it. I figure it this way.

Pay off the morgage. Save a little money and GET A REAL HEMI CUDA CONVERTIBLE!!!

Just haven't figured out how to tell Cuda mom but I figure this is just as good as place as any since I will not be home when she reads this. This will give her time to cool down and maybe she will say yes.

For a real Hemi Cuda Convertible I am going to have to spend a million dollars for that car.

LOL...tried that with my '66 442....you're P@$%%n up a rope. they love old cars. In you're case you could replace it since D-C seems to have the customers ear...I F@#$ed up.

You need a car that you can drive and enjoy through this mid-life crisis, not something to keep locked up in your heated area, that you have to trailer everywhere. That's what you enjoy, letting it loose. The need for speed. If your ultimate goal is the Hemi Cuda Convertible...my suggestion is this

A. Keep your car and wait until we win the lottery

B. Sell your car and wait until we win the lottery

C. Find yourself a sugar momma who will buy one for both of us!! (Makes sure she cooks and cleans too!!)LOL

I say cut the hard top off and make it a removable top. if you do that you will need to renforce the frame, but after being a fireman (and just rejoined TTFD D#3) and seeing what happens in a accident with a convertable

what you dont see id the guys half in and half out of the car, his chest is under the door sill. now you dont have that problem with a hard top.
