Still here....working major hours....as you read this you will understand why....this happened during my shift in the early hours of Thursday. Anyone want to switch jobs with me???????????
Check out the story.....it's probably all over the internet...but this is where I found it first. It really makes me think that some people should not be allowed to have children...ever!!!! Who believes in the death penalty??

That's messed up. I'm all for the death penalty and eye for an eye.
I'm confused by "common bawdy-house". Does that mean she was turning tricks at home?
"It's a horrible, horrible time for this young lady," her lawyer, Laura Joy, said outside the court house. "She's lost her child."
Thats a bullshit excuse, SHE killed the kid HERSELF.
Fuckin' lawyers.
And I agree fully with the death penalty. This so called "mother" should had a round put through her sadistic little skull.

Here in Florida a while back a mother drowned her 5 kids. Some in the tub and others in a river. Thank god we still got ol' Sparky.

that was actually hard to read..
Reading that makes you wonder why there are so many bleeding hearts out there trying to safegaurd the criminals' rights. As far as I am concerned the moment you purposefully take a another persons' life you forfit all the rights you had yourself as a human being.
And stop having them examined by a shrink first to see if they are mentally fit to stand trail(that seems to be the norm nowadays). And what happened to teal "life sentences" they get life and after 10 - 25 years they can get parole for good behavior? WHat the fuck is up with that....
As I said before I am from South Africa originally and here are some shockers for you ( this crap happens almost everyday there!!!!!!!!)

It used to be a nice place and people thought that after Mandela took over things would be better. Apartheid era --- 14% crime rate , 1 year after mandela became president --- 72% crime rate.
I'm not a rasist just so you know this is just to show you how governments are responsible for controlling the crime increase, they did away with the death penalty within that year and that gave the criminals a golden opportunit!!!
It discusts me

I'm Canadian, and from one simple guy (death penalty is a touchy subject even up here) I prefer no death penalty 9 times out of 10... note: I am insulated from the true nature of these crimes in that I don't work in public service role to witness them first hand... There are times that make me question this decision, this is not one of them.
I'd rather see some medical/psychiatric experimentation facility for the offenders, so we can figure why this madness happens. Maybe by some strange coincidence, a little experimentation (gloves off) could reap benifits for everyone. Better use of em I think!
Touchy subject...
Stalin... not sure about his philosophy, as he was just the lesser of 2 evils at the time.

I'm canadian and in favor of the death penalty for people who have been convicted of violent crime before and on wich we have no doubt they have mede those crimes, like film proof or if he tell that he did it. Cause i remember a couples of years ago a guy from Alberta i think not sure, he have spent 25 years in prison and they finally released him cause he was the wrong guy.
People abusing children, if they have already been arrested before for the same thing ....kill him. Drunk driver who have lost their driver license like 10 times in a row and finally kill someone driving drunk.....kill him. Gang member shooting someone else...kill him. As long as you are sure you got the good guy ....man why keep them alive and pay for them to live in prison for 25 years, get rid of the garbage!!

Cause in our nice society you can get out of jail pretty fast even if you made a violent crime. Like rapping or abusing kids you'll do a max of 10 years and not even!!
You can get out of jail after doing the third of what your suppose to do!
That answer your question?

Instead give them a chance, and if they f*** it up kill them!!
Everybody or almost need a second chance!!

Ok i readjust, second chance for those that kill by accident those who kill on purpose no chance!
I'm all for the death penatly, or life with hard labor with no chance of parole. I'm from Texas, and here the death penatly is rarely challenged. As Kinky Friedman says, I'm just against an innocent party getting the penalty.

Yeah hard labor is good too, i say the hell with deathpebalty hard labor is better!!! Clean the higway build things payback to society!!!
Just so you know in Canada - life in prision does not mean life. People can get out on parole usually with 1/3 of there time spent on good behaviour. In order to keep someone in prison the rest of there life they have to be found a dangerour offender. And that is another trial in itself.
These people who commit these devious crimes live a life of luxury in the pen, complaining that there matress is soiled or they don't have enought time outside. All of this with 3 meals a day provided by yours truly....the tax payers...most of there lawyers are paid for by legal aid....again the tax payers.
So all in all, give them the trial. But why should we pay for murders to stay in jail, especially when it is proved beyond a reason of a doubt?
It's my opinion that this killer should die the same way she killed her child: A long, slow, painful death. I think I want to move to Texas!!!
By the way her brother was convicted of killing all his kids and wife too. He is in the pen at this time.
I think you gave us the wrong link T/A6Pak, cause that was a link to a vechicular manslaughter case in which there is no proof was even caused the driver in question.
I agree with lots of what has been said here, but Wotan, your one statement seemed incredibly radical.

I mean, if they abuse their children, kill them? Why? Thats not an eye for an eye. Thats like, a head for a pinky toe. Take their kids away, throw them in jail sure, but kill them?
On the second one, again, i don't think the death penalty is called for. Its not like he got in his car, and he said, yeah, lets go run someone over.
As for the 3rd one, absolutely, he deserves the death sentance, but it doesn't matter whether hes in a gang.
Hi Oh you...
The first link in the thread is the lady that just killed her child last thurdsay and stabbed an officer on my platoon. The second link was for Robert Steinhoff (Tammie - child killer) brother. Just so you know he was convicted and sits in the pen still. He killed his wife and all the children, yet he got out of the car without a scratch...hmmmm.
Tammie Steinhoff stabbed her child to death. The child was almost 3 years old. There was around 40 plus stab wounds to this child River. This is why I believe the death penalty is necessary. Tammie is not a mother she is a killer!
Hey 6Pak.
The story you gave us a link to doesn't point out the fact that it was at all the father's fault. Maybe i don't get it, or the story doesn't go indepth enough, but it sounded to me like it was entirely the fault of the truck driver that hit them, not the father. It also said no charges were filed. Thats all i was pointing out, as for the child murder thing, i agree entirely. It was Wotan's post i was disagreeing with.

hey Oh you concerning the child abuser...let me tell you the story of Mario Bastien and Alexandre Livernoche 13 year old. Mario Bastien is a sex offender that have been release by our system from jail. He got a job harvesting cucumber during summer Alexandre also was working there as a summer job. One day after the job Bastien offered to walk with Alexandre toward is home, Bastien brought Alexandre in a desert area, forced him to undress tried to rape him and finally choked him to death. And bury half of his corpse in the sand.
http://www.free-webspace.biz/thevictims/li..._alexandre.htmlLook at all the kids that have been killed by adult:
http://www.free-webspace.biz/thevictims/index.htmlRead a couple of those story....
That kid is dead cause of our system. I'm sorry Oh you but when it concern kids there's no pitty. When a kid get raped his life start on the wrong foot it's almost like if they have been killed. I have no pitty for Child abuser or men that beat up women.
Now concerning drunk driving....A couple of years ago a guy killed a kid that was walking on the side of the road with his car.We learned that the guy have been sentence 12 time for drunk driving, until he killed that boy....you really think it's an accident...i don't think so!!
I tell you man if i had kids and something like that happened i would kill this guy, iwould make my own law cause our system is too fucked up!!

Lots of stories about this... question is, is the death penalty the answer? I think society in general bears the responsibility of its actions. This responsibility goes beyond retribution and punishment. This means finding and enforcing appropriate penalties and sentences for offences. Also it includes managing criminals in a 'civilized' manor, during and after sentencing, no matter how uncivilized the crime. This is what seperates modern society from the days of public executions and burning of witches (only if the witch weighs more than a duck btw... if she weighs less than a duck, burn her).
The more hainess the crime the more severe the penalty of course. But I am not really for or against the death penalty, its just that our justice system is more than capable of error. For that very reason to allow our justice system to make such an incredible decision on behalf of the society that I live in, is absolutely out of the question. If you know a lawyer or 2 you have to agree.
As for what to do with them, put them in jail, general population, and let them work it out if necessary. Wotansvolk, you even mention how !@#$ed up it is, and you are willing to put this level of responsibility in their hands? No meng, no way, not on my watch.

True ....i'm not sure i realy want the system to decide who is going to die and who don't deserve to die. But i surely don't want to pay for criminal to have a nice living in prison, they go to the gym, they eat do drugs....man it's not really a punishment except for the fact that they can't get out of that prison. Here's some stats on the cost per day per prisoner(1999-2000):
Quebec 106$
Ontario 145$
Manitoba 108$
B-C 147$
Nova Scotia 154$
If i take an average of those province it cost an average of 132$ per bastard!!
132*7 days a week*52 weeks in a year= 48 048$ per guy in prison. And don't forget they made a crime against our society....shit i don'teven make that much money in a year.
Maybe killing them is a little radical ......at least make them work, make them pay for what they cost to society!! I've known people that when winter come around they steal something and wait for the cops to get them so they can spend winter in jail...living for free!!!
Those ass hole even complain and ask for their rights.....i'm sorry you're in jail you have no rights!!
I like those good discussion...Wich province are you from no_help?
Cya guys! and gurlz!!

Haven't been in forums awhile as you noticed ... but when I see mon chum posting it must be interesting!
Not had time to see the whole thread, but I believe its the morons in the system are the large part of the blame.
The laws and penalties are there but like in the States, some bozos who are supposed to be in charge are literally putting society in danger.
For example 'softy' judges [not applying full sentence or giving suspended sentences], dimwitted parole board panels [many times foolishly letting out killers to kill again], lawyers on both sides deliberately extending court dates [ extra cash in pockets]....... Maybe let's threaten these dummies with the death penalty if they don't do their job properly.

I'm in Ontario, not far from the new 'super jail'. LOL Hellfighter!
The cost is unreal. My sister currently works in probation, but in order to become a probation officer, she put in time as a correction officer (prison guard). She told me stories, not about the facilities, about the food! Unless you are on an all-inclusive vacation, you do not eat better than these guys, no bull! 4 square meals a day. This includes bed time snack known as 'jug-up' because it comes complete with a jug of tea and includes cookies and/or cake. Christmas turkey, roast beef, steak, they quite litterly eat like kings... society has some guilt thing going on here to treat them so well, because for sure I don't eat that well, and I'd have to cook it!
I don't know where I'm going with this, but with the food and facilities, sounds allot like a vacation... probably even have organized activities skeet shooting etc. (no women though, and that really would suck, but now I think about it I'd probably prefer great dinning... on second thought, I take that back)
