There have been several good COLLEGE backs out of penn state. Unfortunately they all go dee da dee when they get to the pros. I remember watching several years ago when my Crimson Tide was playing your Nitney Lions and they had Blair Thomas who had just run ALL over us that day. Time was winding down and you guys were on the 1 yard line down by 1 or 2 when Jo Pa decided hey my running back who has killed these guys all day can't get that one yard. I think I'll send in the kicker. Mistake, the kick was blocked and we went on to win. Great game but they showed Blair just shaking his head on the side lines. He was right it was a bone headed rare mistake from the cokebottled one. I love college football.

Obviously Lipton is clueless. Nobody watches a single CB game until march. College Football is where it's at except for a few schools like N.C., Kansas, Kentucky, and Indiana. This is because their football teams suck. This is especially true in the South.

I believe that you like Basketball more. But I don't belive it's bigger than college football. Don't get me wrong I love march as much as the next guy. Unfortunately Ocotober through February don't matter. I have little doubt that you have infinete sports knowledge of stats, players, etc....

IT actually generates wind because it blows so bad. When my friend Michael left, the league left with him. There will be no savior, not lebron, not kobe, not Wade, Redd, or shaq. It was so much more fun in the early 90s to watch it.

Totally agree with Lord Lipton, college basketball is the only sport out there. Of course I did go to the University of Arizona and football is not our strong point. Go Cats! into the first round of the NCAAs that is, then lose.

nc is going to be the man but lets not count out maryland ,they are under rated.

Sorry to Crush your feelings lip, but I believe I am the true sports Genius! College football is much much more important a sport to College Athletics and the $$$$ they bring in than College Basketball. Dont get me wrong, Basketball brings in a ton of revenue as well, but its not even a close call.

I pretty much know the lineup of every MLB team and NFL team. I even know most the the backups on each football team and the off the bench players on each baseball team. If I cant watch TV cause of my satellite is out because its to cloudy, I listen to the baseball game on the radio. I dont miss a single White Sox game period!! If the Sox are not playing, I watch the Cubs, but I dont listen to them on the radio, lol. I have the football and baseball package with Direct TV and watch more baseball and football in a year than most do in a lifetime. My wife always gives me shit about my sports. I am a true Sports Junkie!

college football loses points with me (a die hard football fanatic) because of the refusel to do a playoff! no college sport will ever live up to march madness. my question to you about college football is -who isnt in a bowl every year? that is simply gay! im a bartender so i watch the games and know whos in the 25 but at the end of december i dont turn one of the stupid bowl games on unless its #1 against #2.

I also wish college football would do a playoffs. There is too much money to be made with all the bowl games though. Thats why it doesnt happen.

This is similar to my beliefs that there should be a cap in baseball. The pay for these players is just outrageous! Every time I hear a new player signed with someone, I think back to that Austin Powers flick with Dr. Evil saying, "one Billion Dollars!!, Muhahahahahaha!"

if illinois had Randal and Jamar Smith full strength Maryland would've been toast. they held strawberry useless.



next year Jon Scheyer will step up for duke (he went to high school like 30 minutes from my house) and he's amazing. Recruits were after this kid as an 8th grader. He will do great things for Duke, and Coach K.

you are right nothing,ive been following my teams spending so far this off season (orioles) and also the cubs who seem to be the most aggresive and as a baseball fan it scares me because i know baseball will go down the tubes eventually if they dont cap it. gary mathews jr 100 mil?wtf, all these players so far this off season are moderate achievers in the mlb and commanding huuuge dollars! whats going to happen next season when the big guys contracts are up (11 major bats and 5 ace pitchers) for a dad and 2 kids to go to the game now will cost you 150 to 200 ,its going to hurt baseball more than they know! this is why ive always had huge respect for the marlins-lowest attendance but rookies always play well and are contenders every year!
