You have no idea what you are talking about. I haven't liked anything he's done for 20 years or so, but his early stuff is friggan brilliant. If you don't get it it's your fault. The man is a poet and a great musician. I'd rather listen to him than Dylan any day of the week.

All that with the caveat of I hate his stuff after or equal to Tunnel of Love.
