I came across a VERY interesting article regarding the economy under Bush, you can take a look HERE.

Here are some quotes from the article:

"Nine months prior to the 1996 presidential election, Bill Clinton's Council of Economic Advisers cheerfully reported that the "American economy has performed exceptionally well over the past 3 years." While that may not surprise you, you may however be surprised to learn that President George W. Bush's economic record is, in many ways, better than the record Clinton ran on for reelection.

Compared with the "exceptional" years of 1993, 1994, and 1995, the first three years of George W. Bush's presidency featured:
lower inflation
lower unemployment
faster productivity growth
faster labor compensation growth (i.e., wages and benefits)
29.4 percent ($6.9 trillion) more economic output
45 percent ($960 billion) more exports; and
an economic growth rate 81.2 percent as fast as that under Clinton

"Considering the circumstances under which the U.S. economy has labored for the past few years, President Bush's record is all the more impressive. When George W. Bush moved into the White House, the economy was on the verge of recession. The largest stock market bubble in U.S. history had recently burst, exports were declining, manufacturing employment had been falling for half a year, and people were finding it harder and harder to find work. And that was before 9/11, the war on terror, and the revelations of the corporate-governance scandals that grew out of the late 1990s"

While I think that the economy is cyclical, it sure does paint a different picture than what President Bush's opponents are saying.

just think a few more months and the lives of these two men we will never have to hear about again. (thank god!)

Yeah but I dont buy it. I can write all kinds of stuff about Clinton but does that mean its true. I'm not even going to get started on this one.

I'm looking at the economy for what it is now. Just last year , the company I worked for marched 150 people out of our home office. Not to mention that 100 more lost their jobs that were working out in the stores.

His employment growth is up I see. But overseas doesn't count.
Hoods
lol. maan you know better real lol

bush=deficit.

I make less money than I did pre 9/11, yet do to low interest rates I own a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage home. I own a 2003 Explorer XLT. I also have a 13 month old son. I did all this with less money than I had 3 years ago. Something is going right.

Not that I LOVE Bush. I have my problems with him. I have serious problems with Kerry as well. My problem as in every election where I could vote is that there is nobody who represents me, because the Dems bow to the far left and the Reps bow to the far right, while the majority middle of the road guys get screwed.

Both of them are only remotely responsible for the economy Real, you should know that. The economy is dependent on so many things, that it's impossible to pin it on a man who really has very little power in the matter who has worked on it for less than three years. I'll use an example- my dad lost his job less than a month ago and it blows big time. However, it is in no way connected to Bush. I find that people who use economic statistics to support a candidate are only deceiving themselves and others.
