I have about 175 dollars to spend. I found this on Newegg http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc....-131-412&DEPA=0
XYZ Factor
I don't know much about power color but I just went through this myself....just make sure you dont get a downgraded version of the card like a LE (limited edition) or SE (special edition). They are usually slower in mgz and bit rate. For instance...the card should be 128-bit but the SE comes in 64-bit.

Athough I haven't seen a major difference I got the 128 MB ATI Radeon 9600XT. Everyone I talked to said I made a good choice and the reviews on it are really good. I didn't get the 256MB card cuase I didn't want to shell out the extra $30 and people told me that I wouldn't see a big difference over the 128....but circuit city has it for $179.

I love New Egg too and usually get my stuff there but my discount and impatience caused me to get mine at cirucuit city. Besides New Egg has it for $175 which is not that much of a difference. Not to mention if you have a prob with the card its easier to return/exchange.

Damnit POB...now you got me thinking I should have gotten the 256....CURSE YOU!

Correct me if I'm wrong but can this card I'm looking at be overclocked to run like the 9800 pro?
All over but the Crying
It might be a little more than you want to spend but I would look at the Nvidia 6600 GT as they are considered by many to be the best $ for performance ratio in the $200 range. Make sure you get an AGP one as there are PCI-e ones out there as well.

Don't get Nvidia, there not as good as Radeon Cards. I recommend that one you found on NewEgg, its a very very good card.

Get the same one but the 128MB ATI Radeon Pro... thats what i got. Like i said more than enough for MOH and i get a looot of FPS.

I think now I'm going to get the Nvidia 6600GT. After looking at the reviews on Tomshardware and only a $40 price diff. I can't go wrong. Hey Stockguy I agree that ATI normally has better graphics but speed goes to Nvidia. It's a tug o'war thats been going on for quite some time now. I think with the new stuff coming out now between both of them will be incredible.

What other game do you play beside MOHAA? You can save some cash and get a ATI 9700 pro or a 9600XT both is aound 120-150 dollar. Both card will pay all the latest game. Unless you play all your game on 1600x1200 res.

I really don't play much else except I did play Ureal Tournament 2004 before I came here. I know I could go a cheaper route but at the same time I want to be able to play some of the newer games if I want. Kind of like a lot of things in life "buy as much as you can afford".

hey, i got that first ATI card you said and i love it. I got all my video settings up and with running on missonary on remagen i run smooth 60fps minimum. My max fps ive had is 400fps on staligrad. It's just a suggestion but i think for the price i like it. But, i never tried nVida so, go with what you think.
