Damn COD2 I have tried several settings for mulit player. 800x600 screen bi tri anti for graphics, everything runs super slow in game and everytime i leave a game when i come back in i have to reset all settings it wont save my last choices. Starting to really piss me off.

Lots of people have had problems with the DX9 drivers in the game.
To show how bad it is, most people have seen almost a 100% gain in FPS by switching to DX7.

You make the change under
Options>>>>Graphics>>>Rendering method preference.

Another issue is by default the connection rate is set low.
Check to make sure this is set for LAN\Cable\DSL
The option is at
Multiplayer Options>>Connection
By default it's ISDN which is only a 5000kb to the server
Where Lan/Cable/DSL is a 25000kb connection to the server.

Make all changes before you join our server.

yeah... Dx9 is hard to run. change to Dx7

Same for me too, I have an ATI Radeon X850 and still have to run it in DX 7. Who knows, maybe the patch will include a fix for DX 9 or something.

dont now whats going on with ur computer but i run DX 9 perfictly on my machine an i play fine, but thats just me though

i have everything set up right the game just crashes doen to my desk top dont know why. and av wont help me so fuckem

out of all the people in 51, i havent heard of any of them having problems with it crashing. no one else i know has had problems either really. maybe every once in a while. but nothing big.

1) Check for updated drivers for all your hardware including a Bios update for your motherboard
2) Next time COD2 crashes, check your Application event log for errors or warnings

Do you have the lastest video card driver? My pc was doing the same thing with NHL 06 & my wife was having the same problem with her RCT3 until I updated my video card to the newest driver. Now everything runs fine.

My PC Specs are as follows:

ive heard of people with better hardware than you, that cant run it very well at all.
they get like 20-40FPS. thats what i mean when i say not running well heh: getting 20-40 FPS

i get about 40-50FPS with all that stuff

ahh thats not too bad i guess. with Dx7, all high texture settings, anisotropic rendering at 16X and anti aliasing at 4X, i get 70-200 FPS. depending on maps n such
