Same team, new location can put a nice kick into a team. Look how Phoenix and Colorado did when they moved. I think the new city shows a lot of interest right away and they appreciate the team more. When the Expos were moved to DC last year, we hadn't had a baseball team in 30+ years, so it was a focus of attention. I'm thinking since the Whalers were moved out of Hartford suddenly, the public will hit the games and follow the team more. It sucks that the team is being moved out of Pitt, but if people don't hit the games then I guess you have to move. Pitt is so blue collar, I don't think a lot of people can afford to spend $30-40 a ticket to get in and then $8 a soda, etc. The damn inflated prices are killing off the true lovers of the sport. Down with capitalism!
