We are happy to announce that we are now running the new SMOLENSK map! Thanks to Slyk from After-Hourz.com for all the work and effort he's put into this new map!

Based on your feedback, we have closed our Barbarossa No Time Limit server and added Smolensk in its place with a 45 minute time limit. Additionally, we have increased the time limit on our other Barbarossa Server (8.9.4.80) from 35 minutes to 45 minutes.

Play Smolensk Base Assault at 8.9.4.76

As always, we are always open for ideas and suggestions to make our servers even better. If you would like to make any comments, please do so in the appropriate forum.

That's great to have the new server up and running ... but I can't get on. Help!

Perhaps someone can offer some guidance. I've been able to join the AfterHourz servers for their betas and have just verified that I can join their server running the final of Smolensk. However, when I try to join the MOB server I'm given an error message that reads:

"Unpure client detected.
Invalid .PK3 files referenced!

COD:uo:mp_uo_barbarossa.pk3"

So, I went to AfterHourz and downloaded (again) their Barbarossa final. Installed that, verified that I could run it locally and on their server and then hit my head against the same error message when trying to join the MOB server. I'm starting to think the problem is with MOB's version.

We've contacted Slyk for ideas on whats causing this problem and how to fix it.
In the mean time, simply move mp_uo_barbarossa.pk3 outside of your /uo directory.

I'm sure the problem is on our end but not sure what the cause is.

I was getting some gripes from a few of the guys, they had some suggestions , maybe the time limit should extended, or not have one at all. Perhaps we could vote on that too?

The few rounds that I played were finished pretty quickly.....1 within 7 mins..(Think that's the right time) none went the full 45 mins.

I watched (4) rounds of play tonight.

First game:
Round 1 (roughly 13v13) went almost the full 45 minutes. Russians won, 3-2.
Round 2, (11v11) Russians won after 15 minutes, 3-1

Second game:
Round 1 (roughly 10v10), Germans won at the 11 minute mark, 3-1
Round 2 (10v10), Germans won at the 7 minute mark, 3-1

Ok, it was probably just because the server was pretty empty, but thanks for looking into it for me guys.

I noticed that I had a "beta" version of the Smolensk PK file and Punkbuster gave me the "unpure client" warning. When I deleted the beta and downloaded the MOB version it was good to go. Just an F.Y.I. to any that need it!
