I just the server up today from work and I will not be able to test it myself until tonight. Please reply back if there are any issues. In particular, I would appreciate someone testing out the download of the map and the vehicle pack when connecting to the server.

Thanks!

Druid
I can't connect with the barb map in my /uo folder.
I get
unpure client detected.
invalid .pk3 referenced
cod\uo\mp_uo_barbarossa.pk3

Which shouldn't happen, because I can join the Barb server with the smolensk map in my UO folder without any problems.

played it this morning with silver; you have to move your barb map somewhere else to play. its a completely different game from barb, time will tell.....but it is really rough with only a couple of people on.

I have sent a PM to Slyk to get his input on this issue.

Interesting, make sure you get rid of any old smolensk PK3s on the client side (your local PC). I have an internal test server up and running with both Barb and Smolensk with no issues. It rotates through both maps with no issues. I made sure to delete my old beta copies.

Server side... There should only be a handful of custom PK3s on the server: I'd make sure that you don't have any other custom PK3s up there.

mp_uo_barbarossa.pk3 (8686KB)
mp_uo_smolensk.pk3 (6709KB)
z_ahz_vehicles.pk3 (56851KB)
- The above (3) are server side and client side and should match what is in your local PC's UO folder. Those are the (3) required to run Barbarossa & Smolensk.

Some servers also have:
user_svr_barbfix.pk3 (3KB)
- The above is a fix for the Barbarossa map that corrects a few map exploits. It should have no impact on pure / not pure as it's a server-side mod.

In addition, my test server has the (2) compass fix mods for Barb/Smol and the CNQ v3 beta PK3 file. (All of which are server-side only and won't affect the pure setting.)

...

When trying to access the MOB's server (.76), I also got the "unpure" error.

Hopefully I'll have a chance to give it a go tonite!

Bob is correct, you MUST delete old versions of Smolensk. They will cause some texture/model anomolies in the final of Smolensk. We have run our servers with no issues in both testing and full server rotations. If the problem persists, please send me console and/or server logs if there is any detail.

Server side, we have no old versions of Smolensk or any other map for that matter in the UO folder.
Client side, I do not have any other Smolensk maps and I too get the error.

***EDIT**
Weird. blink.gif
Serverside, originally I removed all Barbarossa related files ie: map file and serverside fix, (Except the vehicle pak) and just left the Smolensk map in. When I put the Barbarossa files back into the UO folder, it works!

Ok boys and girls, the problem should be fixed now.

Nice, seems to be working for me... I've been switching between two servers (another one running Barb and .76 which is running Smolensk).
