There has been allot of guys using the second floor of the Hotel window glitch and there is allot of complaints about it. I asked quite a few people about it and was recommended to post a poll to see what everyone thinks about it. I personally think a glitch is a glitch and should not be taken advantage of and should deserve a kick.

What's the glitch?

How exactly is that a glitch? If its the middle room of the 2nd floor where u can peer out either side and stay on the balconies, then I see no point in kicking. If you considered it an exploit, you would have to assume being in that spot gives the person an advantage. Considering it leaves the figure out in the open in front of 3/4 of cassino just begging to have a bullet sunk between his eyes I hardly see that as a glitch/exploit. But of course Im assuming Im thinking of the same spot you are talking about.

Yea thats the spot. The thing is that if they step back one step, you can not shoot them because it hits the wall. It is a glitch in the game and was not meant to be played to your advantage. Same with the other glitches where you can get to a certain area and not be seen or difficult to be seen.

My thoughts;

If the balcony door can not be shot through, then it's a glitch and people should be kicked. If the door can be shot through, it's fine because they can't see through the door without being exposed. I think it's shady either way. I don't see too many people using it though, atleast during my time on the server. I usually see people using the north sniper ledge to hide behind that glitch more often.

All and all, there are more "legit" tactics people use that piss me off more than the balcony door, such as stair camping, room corner camping, complete spawn rapage, etc... but there's nothing I can do about that since it's legit. Just becuase I don't think their style of playing is right doesn't give me the right to complain, lol.

Nothing, I can totally see your point and why you are bringing this up. I think in a way it's a glitch but overall, it's not a huge advantage for the person using it.

Ive never seen them step back to where they can still see and shoot while not getting shot. I tried that a long time ago and every time I stepped out I got my ass blasted. If a guy was doing that on the other team (of me or you, or whoever) it really wouldnt matter. No one would get enough kills in to effectively make it an exploit. Plus the fact you can cook grenades and give new set of teeth made of shrapnel. Some hotel campers know that all too well

The only "exploit/glitch" Ive seen is in the far corner of the map /streets side where u can jump in the building, peer over the balcony and waste the team spawning there.

That window has been considered a glitch by MOB since soon after we put up the Cassino server. Players should be warned not to use it and kicked if they do not listen.

I asked Nothing to put up the poll because I wasn't exactly sure what he was talking about.
He was nice enough to get on the server with me to point out exactly what the problem was.
There is no doubt about it, this is a glitch in the map as the doors should be solid blocking access to the balcony.
I've looked around for a fix but none address this particular problem.
I'm going to make a few changes to an existing anti-glitch script to block those two doors.
It will be on the server tomorrow.

And I liked those rooftops, but they are still glitches/exploits that should not be used.

along the same lines-what about the middle hill in kursk and the fact alot of snipers are going out of bounds?

If you want to use those windows to leap out of I really dont mind that, but seeing people snipe out of them going in and out is cheating to me. Yea trag, if you just sit out it and can be shot it really is no big deal, but what I have seen is Alfader doing it allot with going in and out. You can not really say i was not going in and out so, just dont shoot out of those windows.

alfadar pisses the shit outta me, he blocks windows where you try and snipe or knocks you out, and even forces you to stay up in a window and get sniped. then commence to start laughing at you for dying.

Is Alfader a member of MoB! Because that guy cause a lot of shit on cassino!!! I'll try to get a screenie next time!!

I planned on writing a patch to block those 2 windows by spawning an invisible wall.
Unfortunately in COD:UO it's turns out it's impossible to spawn anything an have it be solid.

Yeah man that dude is annoying. Hes always calling me a camper and noob and stuff. I usually ignore him and kill him but it gets annoying. But you cant ban just because they are annoying little kids.

Well might teach them some manner somtimes parents dont do theyre job let MoB raise those kids!!!

The glitch is not totally fixed Alfader showed it to me last night when you crouch you can still use the glitch!!!

Thats fine, if he still uses it he will be kicked and im sure if he keeps it up, its a ticket to a ban.

I didn't think about trying to duck under the invisible block.
This is easily fixed, I'll do it later today or tomorrow.

you can also get through it if you come in from the outside.

not sure what you mean by the outside

you can drop down from the window above, or jump across from the other two things on each side, and just jump back inside the middle window. coming from the outside.

i think that was fixed. but i'm not sure. i only tried it once, and i could get through from the other side.
