I know this has probably been discussed a 100 times, but Im going to ask since I am cutting down and probably quitting playing CoD:UO. What the heck is good about this game? I reinstalled it for the 3rd time only because someone told me they had modded the MP and 'tweaked' all the shitty things about it. But I got on and everything was the same. I played about 4 maps...Tiny maps? (I swear one map reminded me of my small backyard) grenade indicators? Spraying from the hip and headshooting? Not to mention my ping could not stay below 130, though I have a High Cable connection and a BA computer. Not dissing you guys' server, but, I just dont see it. It seems to me they spent a good bit of time on the SP, enhancing the graphics and fixing weapons LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE (No more 44 bullshit) But they sat back and laughed and the gameplay, esp the Multiplayer. Is it really that fun for you guys? Its almost like you can kill one MAYBE two guys before you die. Then u can respawn and kill one and die and repeat. Its like more of a game for kids who just want to spray and kill to relieve anger from school or something, not a strategic Wolrd War game. I saw some MOB guys scores from 2 and some of them were impressive. A little more than 2:1 even 3:1 ratio. But from what I saw seems a rarity. Ive already uninstalled it and going to sell it if possible, if not, its going in the garbage. Are all you guys playing 2? Does anyone else not like the MP besides me and Nothing? JW what u guys think about it.

I feel the same way as you did. My friends in my clan told me I would like it more when I got my new video card. Well, I just got my new $250 video card 2 weeks ago and the game plays better, but it still sucks ass in my book compared to UO. Dont know what Im missing that all these other guys like cod 2 better??

give it more time. I know alot of people didnt like it that much till they learned how the game played and got better. I like the small maps since I came from mohaa, there is little camping and there is always action. Its a much faster paced game than UO was. Lets see what the patch will bring as well... wonder what the new maps will be like. I love the game, the only thing its missing is pb.

its crap! maps small! i thought uo was one of the best ww2 games ever made! i need to fight for something when i play ,tdm and dm suck! gets boring running around in circles .

i played bf42 before cod ,then i was addicted to dom-but when base assault came out i thought it was a great concept.

keep hearing promises of anti cheat and new maps without a date !they r full of it!

I've already grown a little tired of the gameplay in COD2.
For me the pace feels to erratic, the closest comparison is how stock MOHAA was played.
In it's own right it's a decent shooter but I guess I compare everything to the style of play on a mohaa realism server & COD2 comes up short.
It's fun to play but I just don't find it engaging.

No doubt the biggest problem is question in the back of your mind, is the other guy cheating.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed but there has been a big drop in the number of people playing COD2 in Feb, comapred to Jan.
I'm not talking about on our server but the number of players reported by ASE & csports.

Lots of people think there will be a huge exodus of players when RO comes out.
I don't know if that's true or not, I don't see why because RO and COD2 has nothing in common.
COD2 is a fast past run & gun FPS, while RO is being billed more as a slow paced tactical WW2 simulator.
No crosshairs, health drops, ammo or health displays, nothing like everyone is use to.

How are CoD:UO numbers in ASE holding up?

Some of us don't have time to sit there and play with ourselves while the game moves at a snails pace. If you lack the coordination and skill to play and enjoy this game then perhaps you should seek an alternative. As a matter of fact, I think Oregon Trail would give you a good run for your money.

Come to think of it, why did you even write this. You confirmed something that you already knew, you don't like COD2, so what? Are you asking for approval or are you seeking recognition?

These are the comments Id expect from a litte 14 year old. Lack coordination and skill to play? I dont think Id have a problem whooping your ass in any CoD game. And since you obviously have dyslexia I will say again: (which everyone else understood) I asked who played 2 and why they liked it. And asked what everyone though about the game, good and/or bad.

TDM on a small map like Cassino doesn't leave room for feeling like a 'real WW2' action. I'm calling for you to stay in your CoD thread. But I get the feeling you hate the sprayers like me balancing off the rifle toll you can usually accumulate. I think you should take the tdm mission for what it is ; its not rifles only and it's chaos and the Cassino map generally lags in any server i've played it on. S+D is more 'realistic', so I wouldn't assume tdm can ever reach those standards.

ITS no secret this game has lived up to few expectations! its an xbox game.i still play it from time to time ,i just dont like the game play! ro is the type of ww2 game i want to play.....realistic.....! tanks arent the dominating factor but support and easily taken out! troops dont run real fast then start bunny hopping around all the while tking perfect head shots (what a joke!) sounds like they have weapons for rank wich is the way it should be. cod2 was a giant step BACK! you should read about the actuall battles sometime and realize how realistic the maps are in uo. i especially like kursk (although its my worst)because of the concept.

i/w thought because they had cod and an awesome u/o they could throw a peice of kiddy crap out there and noone will care.i have noticed how close people look for detail in ww2 shooters these days and noticed on cod files forums one night someone complaining about the german ammo pouch in cod2 was wrong. thats attention to detail! these next 2 maps better be good because i too have noticed the drop in players but theyve still not given us a date! id be happy with anti cheat to give them time to put some real maps up!

I am sure you have all noticed with each game that comes out (dont matter WW2 or any other kind) they all suck because if you want to play the multiplayer version you get like 25 fps or less if you turn up detail...or wait like 3 years for the technology to catch up that you can play with all the bells and whistles so the game looks good...and for the german ammo pouch...I didnt even know they had them my grafix are so turned down all I see is a grey stick figure and lots of anoying dust. So let's all pack COD2 away for 2 years and talk about it later. We'll let OM'Mike play COD2 all by himself with that monster he just built.

I can understand not liking COD 2 because of graphics problems but come on. Its not that hard to upgrade a little bit, just a few hundred dollars can beef up the system that you already have.
