Alright guys, this is just a thought so no one flip out on me. But it seems to me like our Smolesk server is never ever being occupied or used, nearly as often as our cassino, and barb..So maybe just a though. We should try a new level and see how that works out, maybe like carentan or somethin like that, just wanted to see what people might think about it

S&D is a good, new gamestyle that MOB guys can get into. it takes a lot of teamwork and patience. it also greatly increases your stealthyness.

the main reason i still play original CoD is their Carentan 24/7 S&D's and they are ALL popular and people love them.

i love the idea....but i'm sure ya'll would hate it.

There are a few servers running maps called Modern Weapons.

We have tried them out and they are very kewl, I know a few MobRegs have been on them to try them out.

Might be neat to try these maps out. I have to go to work soon, so I'll send the IP addresses later.

Carentan is a great map! Only prob is there are some bad spawn rape choke points.

My vote would be for Railyard as it's a good team map.

railyard, carentan, neuville, stalingrad, and dawnville are all great for S&D

hey 6/pak those modern weapons maps are really cool, i just can't run them without freezing. i've tried 3 or 4 times.

my vote goes to a nice pavlov S&D

I used to play a lot of S&D, before Barb. May get back into it for a nice change, as I think my interest in Barb is declining...

Why not trying BA with custom map rotation like: Vitebsk, Townassault, Wesel, Broadsword, Desert Storm night, Foy west, Aquilate and so on... or different gametypes rotated together with stock and custom maps, for example cnq on Barb, htf on Mogadishu or Warehouse, rsd on Omaha Beach, cnq on Red October..

Plus added with AWE 2.12 mod would give those maps some extra spice...

I'd definately like to see Omaha beach with alot of players....It's a super fun map.... BUT, NO TANKS/vehicles for the Germans AT ALL., rotated with Town Assault and Vitebsk is also a great idea.

its not just sitting around ! it helps you analyze where your enemy is going to be. we have 3 friggen BA's already ! try something different, for the love...

S&D requires quite a bit of strategy, and stealthiness. But yeah, it can be dreadfully boring if you got popped within the first 20 seconds then have to wait for 4 or 5 minutes before the game is resolved.

What about CTF? No one has discussed that yet...

CTF is great, but I usually get frustrated w/the way people play. If you're playing with friends, usually not an issue... but public jerks camp the flags and such. While one guy has the flag, a teammate will camp the flag area so right when the first guy brings the flag back... his teammate already has the new flag. I understand the purpose of the game is to win, but it's not too much fun that way.

I am not saying we have to do S&D, personally, i am fine with any gametype. My point was just that smolesk is Never being used, so i think a new level would be good idea, maybe carentan or pavlov, just somethin like that.

S&D is fine with people who know what they're doing, but there ae always noobs...
Who wants to wait for the time to run out while 2 noobs camp on opposite sides of the map waiting for each other?

At some point, I'd like to play CNQ on Barbarossa. It's be cool to see those parts of the map blocked off for BAS play.

One of the reasons that I prefer BAS over S&D is that BAS has the elements of S&D but without the wait. You've got bombs, sneakers and defenders... but you never quite know when the plant is going to start or what the tactical situation will be at the bomb site.

And if you screw up or get unlucky, you don't have to sit idle for 2 minutes while waiting for the round to end.

(I played a LOT of RE/SD back in the CoD days prior to CoD:UO coming out.)

i still play a lot of S&D on original, and the players are.....well lets say they are way better then anyone i've experienced on barb or cassino...

What about a rifles only, tdm sever? They are awesome.. and they bring good players.

I agree s&d give you no choice but to ba more strategic,if you play like a Berzerk you'll play only 30 sec per 10 minutes!!

For riffle only i think it would become boring.....maybe because I'm not to good with machine gun so imagine with riffle!!!

A rifle only server sounds good. But we do need something to inspire more team play.

Why not both? That Big Box server which carries the MOB name NEVER has anyone on it. Let's ask for admin rights and put it to better use.

I played some Harbor Rifles Only today, Russian vs German. It was pretty intense. No nades, no smoke, no pistols... only rifles. I thought my heart was going to explode out of my chest.

If we keep switching it up, you would't be able to keep steady people going to the sever because people don't like everything, and when we switch it and everyone leaves, we need to start over again with getting more players to come.

I think that makes sense...

Since we already have a TDm and A BAS, i think we need to decide between Dom, or CTF, i personally really like CTF. I think mob would be great with one CTF Sicily server, thats a great level for CTf

Just because we have a tdm sever doesn't mean we cannot have another on. ctf and dom are garbage in my opinion.
