Does a message come up saying you are banned or can you not connect?
Is this for COD2 or COD:UO
Which server did you play on last?
Do you play from the same IP you posted from, I ask because this IP isn't associated with any GUID's on our ban list.

I was playing COD:UO - I think the last server was Barbarossa/Smolensk Base Assault.
I don't know if it was the same IP - I think my IP changes - I have DSL not cable...

Since your on DSL I can't look you up with any certainty using your IP, your name isn't on the ban list either.
I'll need to know your PB GUID.
Start the game in multi-player.
Open the console & type
/pb_myguid
Reply back with the last 8 characters

there are three people who use this computer but only my cousin plays COD:UO - I doubt he would have even been on your server let alone got banned. thanks again for your help druid.

Then you went on a 2 minute tirade about one of our members, No reason to repost it here as most of MOB will know what I'm talking about because we were all scratching our heads. Wondering why you started complaining & insulting someone who wasn't even on the server.

Then you were kicked & banned.
The ban didn't take because it was done after you were kicked.
You came back the next day under the name berserker
That was the last day you were on our server because I manually corrected the ban the ban from the previous day.

Sorry if you think that is me, my cousin uses the name Snake, although I don't know what the OP part is about. I will ask him about it, he must have tried to use my name to get back in. There are three of us who use this computer at my apartment, but only Eric plays games. Is there a way to ban him and not me? If not I understand - if someone had done all that in my server I would ban them too! Thanks for helping me figure it out, and sorry for Eric going crazy on you.

I asked my cousin but his response was "I have no idea." So I'm sure you are right about whatever happened, just stinks that I don't play COD for a while then try to go to a server and am banned. Is there a way I can play and he can't?

I say kick your cousin off that computer. If a cousin or any1 got me banned from my favorite server i would hurt them.

Yea, I don't really have a "favorite" server since I don't get to play that often, but I was still wondering if I could still play while he could somehow stay banned if Druid or the powers that be wished.

Kicking my cousin off the computer is not really my style, but it is bothersome...

If my cousin, brother, friend did that to me... my pc would be locked with a new password. If you don't have a favorite server, why are you groveling to get unbanned. There are many other servers out there. You do realize there are ways to lock specific applications and folders right?

i've played with a lot of OP players. they have a 24/7 carentan i think. it lags for me so i don't anymore. but i think i remember playing with snake once or twice......

i say lock your computer, or don't let him get on. if you don't do that. you don't deserve to be un-banned.

If you have XP, give him a new user account with no admin rights and set up all his pertinent stuff in his account, then leave your CoD in your account that has your own password to access.

"A wizard only arrives when he's supposed to"[I think?], with all the 'stuff' Druid oversees in the entire workings of the clan it'd be unfair to assume he can stay on top of every ongoing issue in real time. Let him address issues when its convenient for him. Take the time to be patient rather than possibly making a false assumpion. Perhaps just wait a bit first....

Bans are by GUID (which is based off of your CD-KEY). Which is why you *never* let another person play using your CD-KEY unless you trust them 110%. I realize that's difficult to do in some situations, but there it is.

I just went throught the logs again to verify I'm right about this.
There were only two times the name Berserker shows up associated with your GUID.
Once on the 19th as soon as the time ran out on a kick for OP*Snake.
Then again one time the next day before I manually banned OP*Snake to fix a failed ban by scrapyardbob from the previous day.
In your 4th post you say OP*Snake ( your phantom cousin ), must of used your name to try and get back in the server after being kicked.

Beseker claims in his 1st post that he's played on our server a few times.
Yet by coincidence, the only two times his name shows up is right after OP*Snake was kicked.
Than in his 4th post Beseker says his COUSIN aka OP*Shake must of used his name (Beseker) to try and get back on the server.
So in truth, tho only two times Beseker played on this server, he now claims it was his COUSIN aka OP*Shake using his name.
Which than of course brings me back to his original post.

A month before all this happened we recieved an email from OP*Snake about his interest in joinging MOB or the Regs. The email came from the same email address you used when you signed up on the forum.

To answer your charges, yes we do use some of the same email - I have a mac and run their email client "mail" which automatically uses two email addresses one that starts dasang... and one that is a "verizon" email address - so perhaps that explains it.

I don't know anything about GUIDs and all that, all I can tell you is the truth, whether it makes sense to you or not is not something I can control. My cousin is not a "phantom" at least as far as I know! I am not a hardcore gamer and it is possible I forgot to change his name back to mine before I played on your server (I would retype my name every time I played). I honestly don't remember - it was at least a few months since I have played.

In any case, it's not a big deal to me - it is a video game after all. I will go play somewhere else. Thanks for your time.
