Indeed, I think that all russians "hunt" by packs.... I can rearly kill a russian without another one charging me with his ppsh... or sometimes 2 or 3 of 'em...
Teamwork is really important... I remember when I was traveling with somebody and a russians started spraying me(that little ppsh, *eh*), all I had was a 98k, so I knw there is little hope for me now, but my buddy blessed that russian with his mp44 as I was running toward him saying (on my bind key :-) "They know we here!!! Give 'em all we got!" I think a bind key like "enemy is ahead of us" is good for scouts, because the verbal way takes too long (V+2+8) and often the enemy will hear and prepare themselves. If you don't know how to make binds here's the way press console (button left to 1) ~ and type bind (key of your choise) say (and here your message)
type bind (key of your choise) say_team (message) <-- this here is for team only message...
Listening to enemies is very important too, don't sprint everywhere, crouch and stop from time to time, listen to footsteps, firing(duh!), and the bushes makeing noise, everygame I kill like 3-4 russians thet were traveling trought the path, I heard them and prepared myself... and boom, dead the drop.
The FG-42's are a neat little bonus in the map, usualy the scope will be too much of a problem and full auto's too fast and inaccurate, but one time I got 8 kills with it in a single sitting, R3 was planted and I hid behind the hay stack, russians were racing there like crazy(it was their last bunker after all) and apparently noobs from their team taken all the tanks and jeeps from spawn, so the russians were on foot, easy money for a crack shot, and as they did get closer, i turned off the scope, put her in auto and let it rip!
Defence of G2:
The Pak gun over looking the german bunker 2 is like the best thing since panzerfaust(lol). I sat on the Pak and got close to 4 kills from russians sneaking in... the only drawback is you are in danger of getting sniped, or enemy comming from behind...
Also, the best way to learn, is simply play both sides from time to time. That's how I became good at Barbarossa, but its hard for me because I am rather clumsy with russian weapons.
