ScrapyardBob is the wizard behind Tuchola. He is the go-to man when it comes to mapping.

Go to ModsOnline.com for better information.

Tuchola's playing area is around 26k x 18k, which is probably the absolute limits of playability even for a large map. I personally don't recommend playing areas larger then 20k x 12k and your map design had better have bottlenecks, natural flow to cause the two sides to meet frequently, and lots of jeeps.

There's also the issue that you're going to run into lighting errors, flare errors, and compiler errors if you try to go larger then 24k x 12k. That is, unless you are very good with mapping and know how to scrimp on vertices and models at every step of the way.

Tuchola is bigger than Barb Mr. Scruff. smile.gif

i know that dienamic but he said he was thinking about making a map bigger than barb and barb is already a big map......lol nvm

IIRC, Barb is around 22k (spawn to spawn) in length during BAS and between 9k and 14k wide. Tuchola is closer to 24k (spawn to spawn) and between 12k and 18k wide. Tuchola has a few bottlenecks that narrow it down to 12k in places.

I generally say that Tuchola is around 10% larger then Barb. Its size is deceptive.
