We rocked BHC, preventing them from destroying a single base in two rounds. Before the match, we took a moment for a team photo.
Through the wonders of time-lapse photography, you can see the sequential chain of events. (The photos uploaded in a weird order, the first in the series is #3 below, then 1, 2 and 4). Everything was going smoothly until Shadow used a satchel for a spec kill on the entire team. You can see him in the middle with the lightbulb over his head and the satchel is between the two in the front. Lots of laughter ensued, and then we settled down and got a proper photo.

i have quite a few screenshots. most of them are from AFTER the match when just dienamic, myself, spec one, and choth went and had fun with our monkey dance. Also, on the more gross side DieNamic did some things to choth which can only be explained in the shots. we were laughing so hard i'm surpised no one fainted.

It was great fun.
However, I wouldn't say that you "rocked" us in any way. I thought it was supremely well played by both sides. The fact that you were able to open our bases from your side of the map when we played as Russians played a great deal into the fact that you took two bases from us. Other than that you had about as much luck as we did in getting armor close to each other's bases --- almost none. We just don't (yet) know the angles to kill bases from our own bases. I think that has much to do with your familiarity of the map and our "relative unfamiliarity". Regardless it was great fun and we at BHC look forward to doing it again.
I already have some guys that are looking forward to the next one. Thanks to you {MOB} for a great game. It was very cleanly played all around. We salute you!!!

By the way, in case anyone thinks I was being disrespectful, I was not. I have great respect for the way you guys played and the match was great fun. Don't take it as disrespect please. It was just not my feeling that we got rcoked. If you count total bases, you beat us 2-0. That's a close game in any sport.
Again thanks and we look forward to the next one.

i was quite proud of you guys not even cracking a one of our bases and us destroying two of yours in a game...i would say the first round would be a rocking. the second we fought just to keep our honor and not really to get as many bases as possible. in case you didn't notice we did play quite a lot more defense in the second game.
either-or i had a frickin blast.

Well my computer crashed and I lost my whole post...but I think it went something like this:
Bluntly, I would say the first round was a rocking. 2-0 in a competitive base assualt match is a rocking. No offense, just putting things bluntly. Our long range shots were developed nearly 24 hours before the match, just to see if we could prove that it is possible (ScrapyardBob did a great job making it tough as shit!). Ya'll played fantastic, and it was a great game (though the second round was a huge camp-fest on both sides).
I really hope we can play again, it was a blast, especially before and after the game (see the photos). Maybe next time you can challenge us on more "familiar" territory? How's barb?
Hope to see ya'll around!
Sounds like it was a lot of fun. Wish I could have been there. But a 2-0 win over 2 rounds doesn't sound like anyone got rocked. No offense, but sounds like the other team did a great job.
I really wish I could have been there, and congrats to the guys that played and won. I know I couldn't have helped in any way because the map is still so confusing to me. But I'm glad to see MOBsters staying undefeated on Barb and now Tuch. We do not lose on our 24/7 servers maps, LOL.
Next time I expect a better win, tho, lol.
And we still hold an open call to any comers on our Barbarossa server.
Good Game to all who played.

Hi BHC... I've loads of good times playing on your server way back. I wish I could've been in on the fun this last match and I hope I get to play in the next match against your chums. We love Close/Fun games with sporty minded folks.... that rocks! Here's to more good times with BHC

What is it with all the sensitivity about semantics? Are there a bunch of English majors here?
I posted a group photo in OUR forums to help boost team/clan morale. And yes, I used the term "rocked." The game rocked. We had fun. Win/lose or draw we rocked, they rocked. Sheeeesh. Yes, BHC, you performed more than admirably. I didn't post that in YOUR forum. In ours, you can bet your ass I'm going to do a little cheerleading.

i for one, agree with mr. choth.
and i'm 100% looking forward to playing again.
Well, I have to say this with no disrespect clan BHC
First game you indeed got rocked and hard. The second game you prooved you could adapt to our offensive play. I got to give you guys alot of credit , there are not many groups of peeps out there that showed such awsome defence stratagy. Especially against this group of misfits.
In an over all effort, I think it was very even. I only wish you could hear us during normal game play lol. Let me give you some of the kinds of remarks that MOB says to each other during our normal every day gaming.
No names will be given to protect me from getting a whoopin lol.
( I gave you a perfectly good tank and this is how I get it back???? This is not a family S.U.V. ya know.)
(DieNamic, "
I can use my own name"will you get your ass back in the jeep, sheeze I cannot take you anywhere....)
(what the hell do you mean you do not have a satchel, have you not been breifed on this?)
(well....we were fine until %$@@ stood up on a rock.)
(well, plant the damn base already.....)
(who the hell taught you how to drive....maybe we should just take the short bus)
You see, we are just a bunch of guys that talk and play the way we want to, but mean no disrespect for each other or anyone we scrimmy or have a match with so, as you said "I mean no disrespect" nor do we .
Anyway, playing you guys was a very good reminder that we need to work on offence more. Do me a favor and tell the rest of the people in your clan we thought they rocked as a unit....peace and DieNaMic out.
an honest eval...
we took you by surprise with LR shots...
kinda scared you and took you off game plan...
we with all our efforts couldnt take R1... very impressive then you took our 1 and eliminated our D.
your recon was EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE AND DECISIVE! you snuck into our spawn and saw how I was hitting your bases... then wanted to kill me... but your homie brought a spoon to an mp44 fight... MP44 > Sniper rifle.
if you could have reinforced your assault on our 1 faster you would have gained more ground.
Inft was very good I noticed that your team was less observent (?) inside tanks. BUT you moved in squads... very effective.
you guys didnt utilitize trails as much as you could have...
(im not gonna say anything about our tactics because we will meet again...)
on the german side again FWD scouts did an amazing job! you with their help found our 1 and 2 with LR shots... IMPRESSIVE!
I think holding an area would have been more important then an constant attack but thats for strategic developments...
I am very impressed...
I would say we DIDNT rock you, actually it would have been rocked if...
we walked over you and took 1... we didnt....
we couldnt peneterate your D when we were russian...
I look FWD to this again!
I (we) like to trash talk a little to make it more intresting and spur a little emotion into the game...
dont take in offensive...

i`ll spot for you anytime Silver,we did take them down quickly.
As for their D , it was extremely effective ,espically the way they deployed snipers so the scouts coundn`t get more then 3/4 of the way on the map, then when we did get to a base and planted ,they were they within secs to defuse ,or stop the plant .
definetly dont want to see lucky in the woods again!!

Best fun I had (that I can remember) was a scout vs squad encounter in the South Forest. I was taking a turn at scouting the South Forest for the Germans. (This was at the start of the south flank advance by the Russians at the end of the first round.)
I had bellied up just northeast of the South Forest trench inside the treeline and was waiting for the Russians to show up. Sure enough, I hear rustling noise to the east coming towards me through the southside treeline after a minute or two. I typed out an "infantry contacted" report and prepared to ambush.
Caught the first of the Russian squad flatfooted as he came around the corner. He winged me slightly, but after the kill I immediately dropped back to the first rock SW of the infantry trench to see what if he had friends. (I know that BHC travels in squads... there's always more then one.)
Holed up on the top of the boulder closest to the trench and waited to see if anyone was around to come investigate. Sure enough, I see a 2nd Russian moving through the trench coming towards my new position. He's moving slow, but I'm stationary and he's not so I see him but he doesn't see me. Opened fire again and cut him down.
Nasty surprise... he's got another squadmate who I didn't see who starts returning fire. Things get a bit hectic now. I dump the rest of my mp44 clip in his general direction to force his head down while I withdraw a bit to the next boulder. (Gain time, force him to come to me.) We also toss some grenades back and forth somewhere in here, I don't remember if it was before or after the 2nd squad member died.
While we're both getting ourselves together, I get time to type out a 2nd contact report, then I start checking left/right to see which way he's going to approach me. I'm pretty badly wounded at this point, but it's a mp44 vs a mosin, so I'm thinking I might get him but it's not a sure thing (hence the contact report).
I see him coming around the north side, somewhat in the open (to avoid making noise?), so I skirt back around to the right then clamber on top of the rock. If I had bellied down up there, I might've evaded or gotten a back shot on him (probably the fatal mistake). Instead, I opened fire for the kill and ended up getting shot and killed.
What I didn't notice during all of this was that those 3 were the advance scouts for a multi-tank offensive aimed at G1. Oops! Germans thought it was just an infantry or two coming through the South Forest so we got caught a little off-balance.
(Wish I had it on tape because some of the order of events is a bit jumbled.)

I put together the report for this particular battle and with some of the great stuff I was getting I also decided to link a "Personal Memoirs" page with a kind of "soldiers eye view" of the fight as opposed to the big picture view on the "Battle" page. I included one that ScrapyardBob posted (hope that's okay) and several from BHC guys. Here's the link:

LOL. I thought about that, but then I figured what the hey! I mean we will obviously change some things up but let's face it, this ain't rocket science. There's only so much you can do. And all we had to do was study your "Strategies" section of your forum to know exactly what you guys would be doing. And you did. Didn't help us in some regards but it was helpful. Anyway, they are fun to read as we each see the battle from our own uniques perspective and it's cool to read about what someone else experienced.

Definitely not rocket science. Execution, communication and initiative typically is what wins the battles.
