By March 1945, the Rhine was the final barrier separating the Allies from the heart of Germany. Plans were underway to cross this barrier and capture the Ruhr, Germany's industrial heartland. With the capture of the Ruhr, Germany's war machine would eventually collapse. The area chosen by the Allies to make the amphibious crossing was between the German cities of Emmerich and Wesel. The 17th Airborne Division and 6th British Airborne Division assisted the crossing by seizing several important objectives in a massive a daylight airborne assault. The Operation was titled Varsity.

Varsity was a rough operation but well conceived.
Looks like a nice map- reminds me of Pegasus Bridge map in some ways.

I played this map and it's certainly not my fav.. I wonder why people spam down their maps on our forum like this..

Further I never seen a railbridge like that pop up... not to mention the very high walls.
I wish to flame it down here, but I wont..

because they promoted us (bobs map not us) on their forums and its cool...

theres like 3 or 4 new maps out other than bobs and this is great because cod2 blows! im glad maps are rolling out because it gives us a little something new. this map reminds me of gun assault a little but havent played it yet.been playing tuchola only since release and went back to barb and stocks last night and it was like starting over again-not boring! died alot though,hehe!

I especially like the destroyed barn. A bit of detail that I find too tedious to create in Tuchola Forest. (Destroyed buildings are lots and lots of little brushes which all have to be textured...)

One of favourites among those new BAS maps, specially when it includes AWE 2.12. Many good places to set a nasty tripwire......

Well, I notice that the rails on that map bend away before of the big lake swamp thing...

Think I had played a beta verison on ax servers a few weeks back and quite enjoyed it (although I'm not a fan of the mod you guys run... )

If I ever find time to play again I'll check out the final version!

Well I'm just a bad person Silver, you know that as well as I do.. Gun assault, which map was that again? Wasnt that one of the very first after hourz maps...? (if so, I wasn't a fan)

It looks pretty good, after all BOB is not the only map maker in UO. I do admit he has made a master piece, but I for one get tired of playing the same map night after night. This would explain my absence from our servers lately.

I think I may have to check out this map to renew my Barb and Tachola map playing.

By the way Scap, no pun intended...I am just a bit bored...peace all.
