The games start Friday, 6/9! I'm so psyched. I'm ofcourse pulling and rooting for the USA. My other teams are Netherlands, England, and Wales. Wales rarely gets into the tourney though, lol.

I'm really hoping we get to face Mexico in the quarter finals and really hand it to them. I'm still pissed about that match a few months ago in Mexico City. The US National Anthem started and the entire Mexican crowd started chanting "Osama, Osama, Osama!" over and over again. I want to CRUSH them.

England havent made it to the quater finals in the last 2 world cups....they have manager problems ,and stricken with injuries......................so dont expect them to win

Svennis isn't a great manager, anyway I think England will end up with bronze this time. They got the best mid-field players, and if Owen and Rooney can find the goal a medal is waiting.........

I'm surprised they are sticking with Rooney. I think I would've let him rest another week during the first round. England has mad talent with or without him, kind of like what Pele mentioned earlier this week. Don't rush him back because it could really hurt the team.

In the papers over here ,we have pictures of Rooneys foot on the front page,with a message for ppl to touch it so it will heal better...............how f***ing sad is that.

Owen is not 100% fit either .plus Sven has got Walcott in the team ,and he hasn`t even played a match for his team in the league yet.......so how do they know if the BIG stage is goner do him good???????



Lets face it Italy and USA will more then likely make it through the group,as Czech Republic
and Ghana ,both their first World Cup Apperances.......but italy will win over USA ,as we have been champions 3 times ,and USA have only come 3rd once in all the 8 apperances that they have had...so experiance will win.

I don't know... Italy is tough and all, but USA is ranked 5th overall, or was earlier last month. It'll be interesting.

England needs to find some loophole to get Ryan Giggs on their national team instead of Wales. Then they could do some severe damage... he not the most skilled athlete, one of the best... but he's the smartest player in the world. He's got a good noggin and knows how to move the ball strategically.

I love soccer, i am watching the germany and costa rica game as i am typing and germany just scored their seond goal right now. lol. fifa is not boring at all i don't think. well anyways i am rooting for brazil, USA, swiss, and france.

They other game that was played in the same group was Poland v Ecuador, which ended 2 - 0 to Ecuador

I love USA but there's no way they can topple Czech Rep. and Italy. If they happen to win the group they will be eliminated. The team that advances from Group E plays Brazil.

yeh i watched the germany match my mums germna she when crazy when she was watching it and then she got drunk lol..England won against paraguay 1-0 it was a own goal lol from paraguay.

UK started well for the first 45 mins,then just defened the 1-0 lead,which is typical for them......And their goal was an own goal from Beckhams free kick..........so not an impressive start to the world cup for them.Even the commentators over here were saying that England could have played 100% times better.

Sweaden 0 Trinidad and Tobagol 0

Sweaden were all over Trin through out the whole 90 mins ,but they just could not get that goal ,as the Trin keeper was fast and quick to get on the ball( not bad for someone who was told that he was playing 15 mins before the game)Begining of 2nd half Trin were down to 10 men as they player commited a bad foal for the second time on a swede player,but this didn`t stop them playing with flair and passion,they nearly scored but hit the crossbar.........was the best game played for the whole world cup so far....watch out England both these teams will not be a walk over.
