Six people including al-Zarqawi and a key lieutenant, spiritual adviser Sheik Abd-al-Rahman, were killed in the strike, the military said. Iraqi forces were the first to arrive at the scene, Caldwell said.
"Zarqawi's body was then removed, brought back to a secure location," Caldwell said. "By visual identification it was established that that probably was him.
"But they ... did further examination of his body, found more scars and tattoos consistent with what had been reported and what we knew about him. They then did a fingerprint identification, and that came back ... this morning as positively identified as Zarqawi having been killed."
"We have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that Zarqawi was in the house," Caldwell said. "It was 100 percent identification." Even so, DNA testing will be conducted, he said.

Zarqawi is the guy that beheaded Mr. Berg from Penn right?Good I"m glad he"s dead. Now he can chillout with those 72 virgins they talk so much about.
If I had it my way, I would have liked to cut his head off with a spoon!
Thats my two cents.

Yeah, we probably should have just left him alone and let him continue beheading innocent people.

The sad part is he never knew what hit him and got away with suffering lightly.... finishing him off with a napalm strike would kinda even up the score a bit.

Now you can't dismiss me that easily. Violence begets violence. We threaten, he holds public beheadings as an attempt to anger/demoralize us, we kill him, what's next?
Conflict expands exponentially. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad one less threat is down and out, but I still believe that instead of being safer with him gone, our soldiers are in more danger.
And I'm sorry if I open up a can of worms here...this is great news, that bastard deserves to die, but damn can't these people figure out that misunderstanding is the root of all conflict (in my opinion).
I'm just laughing to think what it must be like when Allah sits these guys down and explains what a jihad REALLY means.

Agree Napalm is the way to go with a** holes like that....or a fuel bomb!!:
Im sorry, But after seeing what those people do to get their cause noticed in the world just proves even more to me that they need to be exterminated. There is no point in trying to come to a peacefull resolution with monsters like that.
I agree we killed him too lightly. I only hope that what I hear of him still being alive after the bombing is correct. I hope after they caught his ass they killed him just like the Vito got wacked in the Sopranos.

Oh Joy!!! Guess what ?!
From the latest reports, incredibly the baboon did survive the bombing itself, but was either critically or mortally wounded then he died once being attempted to put on a stretcher whereupon he mumbled something before croaking....
So.... he was aware of some horrid payback pain, and the fact that he would shortly be on his way to hell..... burn man, burrrrn!

Remember that Simpson episode where Homer has an accident on a mountain and rescuers put him on a stretcher which leads to the stretcher being let go and going thru a downhill chaos.... maybe something like that would work well regarding payback.

Personally, I think they should go with the Homer climbing Mt. Springfield episode where he rides the frozen corpse down the mountain like a sled.

Some people say that he didn't know it was coming so we didn't stick it to him. But it wounded him very badly. Then when the troops went in what do you think was going thru his mind when he was suddenly surrounded by U.S. troops. Straight Fear. When he was put on the stretcher he was given to the Iraqi army and was supposed to go to the hospital. But do you think the Iraqi's cared? They had their way with him and he got what was coming. The last thing he saw before he died was an American Soldier.

LOL, well put chum....
Someone mentioned Vito from the Sopranos; remember in a recent episode he's guessing at the time of day while doing outdoors work... ends up 2 hours off too early then he yells "F*** ME!" ... I've a feeling
Zarquacky in his final moments of agony was looking up at the much satisfied eyes of the US and Iraqi troops and what he was incoherently mumbling was>
"F*** ME!"

Yea it is suspicious that he crawled off the stretcher trying to escape and then somehow died suddenly after the put him back on it.
"I dunno sir, the explosion seemed to have caused blunt force trauma to the back of his head and somehow left the imprinted words 'Louville Slugger', I just don't get it"
believe me,the propaganda machine we stole from the Nazis called the news is only about %20 truth. Ive been getting news from my friend in the service over there and alot goes on we don't hear about.

Not to bring politics into this but what undead said is true. Non-Bush lovers want him out of office so bad that they make it look like the war in Iraq is failing when soooooooooo many good things came out of it. You mostly only hear another soldier was killed in Iraq today when the Iraqi news goes another 50 rebels were killed today. News is faked and bias becuase of politics, not because nothing is happening.
CommanderChoth

agreed, but I also think the bias goes both ways...depending on ratings, politics, public views, etc.

God bless the reporters who risk their lives seeking the truth in all the 'most dangerous places in the world'.
The other day I was reading a book on the Indonesia Tsunami and it had a series of photos of a mom rushing INTO the sea from the beach to grab her kids with the huge tidal wave oncoming in the background. Miraculously the mom and her kids survived... she was ferociously brave I pondered-> now I realise... the photographer didn't run away either!
Yes politics interferes usually and distorts the coverage but once in a while the whole ugly, or heroic truth gets out because of reporters. That's why I like to look at news from stations all over the world; thus on one headline story you can see perspectives of pro- con- neutral- informative. I hardly watch local news anymore... imo they thrive on keeping their viewers tense and coming back for more-> topics at the station editor's whims.
hmmm, maybe 'reporters in danger's way' would be a good topic to start up here or in miscellaneous forum.

you are correct! have you ever seen the show on history channel about how the Nazi/Jewish thing started? please find the links to back this up,a Jewish man had killed a German officer (publicly) in the beginning of the Reich (30s) and it was brought quickly to Hitlers attention and at his table at the time was the head of propaganda (forget his name) which was a job going nowhere quick in the Reich at this time.he over heard the conversation and pulled Hitler aside and assured him if he let him handle it he would be very happy which he allowed.that night he read it on the radio about the killing and thats what started the entire Jewish onslaught . it can go both ways, and we know this.

I agree that our media is one huge propoganda machine. From the war in Iraq to torturing prisoners, it pisses me off. Tell us what we need to know and if it's more classified, don't tell us at all. As for the torturing, I'm getting sick of politicians and people freaking out about it. Even if it is happening, what's the big deal? It happens to us when we're captured. If playing music loudly while prisoners are trying to sleep will stop another 9/11, I'll send the prison some mix cds of my own. The world has quickly forgotten that these terrorist are still planning to hurt people, whether it be in the US, Canada, Europe, etc. Now they deserve human rights.... WTF?
WE DEF ARE TORTURING THESE GUYS . they have to right?to be honest i dont care and dont want to know.i also dont care if their on hunger strikes or hanging themselves either!
when was the last time there was a big story broken by our media? seems when ever a story "LEAKS"out these days someone gains politically? the media is real useful around election time as well, with all the slander adds we all love (you'd think they would want to promote what GOOD things they were going to do).the govt officials use the media to better their careers. i honestly believe the media to be the cancer of our society!
