Think you can shoot inside german 2 with a pak gun-meaning anyone in there planting or what not doesnt stand a chance.any one else seen this happen?

Actually, now that you mention it, I think I have had this happen to me. Originally I dismissed it as the kind of thing that happens when your arty kills you in a bunker, or when you toss a satchel into a bunker and are standing several feet away from the entrance and still die when it explodes. I haven't really understood all the goofy little issues associated with the bunkers, therefore I just go with what I know works, but yeah, it has happened to me. Perhaps Bob could shed some light on this for us.

The bunkers in CoD:UO are scripted badly. When you die your weapons fall threw the ground, sucks when you hold a satchel and hop around until they kill you and it falls threw the floor. Also when you throw a satchel in their they can walk to the entrance and be 2 feet next to it and not get hurt AT ALL and you die or get seriously wounded when you're standing on the ground above it 20 feet away. And sometimes the windows are soooo hard to get into.

ITS not about satchels though.ive had complaints from a few players and the other day i was killed in the germ 2 with the pak gun while planting.havent heard from bob in awhile but it was a pain with 1 person knowing this shot,would be worse with 50.

(Weapons falling through the floor are because the base models aren't solid. Instead, map designers have to hand-craft a set of invisible clip brushes that match the layout of the base. Not so much a script thing as the models not being solid. In early alphas you could walk through the bases and fall to your death.)

As for the G2 issue... I'm not sure it's going to be fixable. If someone can PM me where to put the shell (I have guesses) I can look at maybe adding a weapon clip or examining why the shell effect passes through walls. It's possible that G1 on Barbarossa suffers the same flaw (using the middle german pak gun), except that G1 on Barb is a long-range shot.

But if it's as I suspect, you could see the same effect by firing a tank shell at that same spot. In which case all of the bases suffer this flaw, it's just pronounced because G2 has the pak that overlooks the base.

Alternately, you may wish to experiment with various plant positions, such as laying down on the west side of the shelf for shelter.
