Ok today in TF I say maggot23 with {DDz} tags on. I want to know if he is really in DDZ. He said Hollywood let him in. His name was {DDz}maggot. Still the same guy as maggot23.

Well not really. He's just annoying and weird I guess. I just wanted to know if he was legally in DDz. Cause he wanted to be in MOB so badly so I thought he just wanted to wear tags to look cool. But if he got in ok then it's fine.

Exactly how we feel on it. Yes, he may not be a great player, but we like to just have fun. We are not big for the competition aspect of it. He is young, but its kinda funny to add the youngins to our older clan guys, lol.

What the hell? Suddenly you make me out as some jackass who doesn't like the kid because of his skill or his age. Way to put words in my mouth MoD. My opinion is not because of his skill. Honestly, I couldn't care less whether he scores 150-10, or 10-150, in fact, i never once mentioned how good or bad a player he was. I have my reasons why i wouldn't select him for a clan, but i won't post them here, because i'm afraid they will be again twisted by others.

Take a deep breath guys. We all know that its often easy to misread people intentions in posts and sometimes overreact. I know that I have done so many times. But, we are all here to play a game and have fun.

I'm glad that Maggot found someplace where he could feel like he belonged. That's something that we all need.

Geez. I wasn't trying to offend you. But people are getting mean around here, and saying "you've lowered your standards" is a mean thing to say. I know why you said it. There is perhaps some justification for it, but if some DDz members decide they like the kid and want to give him a chance, give him the "pride" of wearing some tags, I don't think there is any need to make fun of them or Maggot in anyway about it.

Was on the stock server with him tonught and I kicked him cus he done nothing but spam the server..........................he also kept on about joining MOB.............but mainly just spaming the server,he also said that you (Nothing)do it all the time on our servers,I told him that to my knowlegde you dont....can you have a word with him.

It was probly his new name bind. DDz name changers are notoriously long! He's just a kid bedazzeled by the technology these days. He calls me 4Harry cause in my name it goes ^4Harry, 4 is just for colors lol.

There's no doubt Maggot overdoes EVERYTHING, from asking to get into MOB incessantly, to his new love for his name bind! But the difference is he isn't a jerk about it. He did it in Barb a bunch of times to show it off, and I told him to stop and save it for the end of a game. He said "sorry". So let's see if he does that. But like I say, he was "showing it off" and offered to show me how to do it too. He just thinks it is cool.

The funny thing is, he has blamed his own behavior on his adhd (attention deficit disorder) a couple of times. My response? Something like "LOL, So what!"

LOL, all the puberty kids getting in trouble with over zealousness here are nearly ALL using that line. I'm guessing its the 'in' "joke" currently amongst them.

I did get really mad at him once. Why? Because we planted a base, and we are getting ready to defend the plant, and he pulls out a smoke gernade. Then nothing. Just stands there with it. Finally, someone charges in and he throws the smoke gernade at the guy! Doh! We both get mowed down in the process. So, I said something like !!!!

I think we need to publish a bunch of "tricks for n00bs". Things to do until you get better. Like, n00bs should always defend a base plant by either lying on the stairs or pointing a rocket at the door, because neither require much skill if the other guy is rushing/panicking. Or, of course, throw smoke and hold a satchel. n00bs should also learn any good PAK shots. Always useful to have people who can do that. N00bs should learn to ride tanks and jeeps without shooting randomly, and perhaps most of all, just try and hang with a vet, ask for orders, and learn by what they do. There are certain players out there without very good kill ratio's, but they do all these things, so I think they actually are a help to their team, despite also being the cannon fodder sometimes!

It might be worth trying to list a couple simple "tricks for n00bs" on the console messages that run. We always see in Barb "don't plant Russian 2 untill last", but there are other tricks perhaps a few might pick up, even though admittedly there always a n00b who plants 2 anyway!

I hate it when you're hiding from a tank and then some guy comes in a jeep gets out and runs to your position. Then the tank gets 2 kills. But I do love it when the guy becomes a distraction and I leave lol.

Excellent. If I get forced to playing TF all the time, I will be sure to provide cover fire from over your shoulder at all possible oppotunites. How about a little PPSH fire at incoming tanks? Sound good?

And Harry, I just knew you'd love TF. Camper's paradise that is! Tell me, do you ever come out of the hiddy holes, or do you and Shadow just curl up together somewhere?

Well MoD by camp you mean snipe, I don't snipe on TF. I use machine guns. I also found that I use rockets more than machine guns. Ain't that right miked . Also today I nailed GAB-HUSKER from across the map with a rocket, he was on foot trying to snipe me with a mp44.

I've played tuchola several times, but I'm just so slow to learn new maps. I try to get Havoc and IP to play it, but havoc can't walk through walls there. And IP's legs are too old to run to the bases.

I've played it and liked it very much. I do, however, prefer the fast paced action at Barbarossa to the calculated infiltrations I use on TF.

Tuchola is fun but not as fun as Barb in my opinion.

And I do not hate Maggott (even though he continuosly asks me why I hate him whenever he sees me). He did TK me a couple nights ago when Havoc was standing right behind him and then said he didnt do it. Then a few minutes later he was destroying our jeeps before we could get into them .. I have nothing against him except that hes usually wasting a space on the server.

Oh Rommel! I know, you are just worried if my plan worked, and n00bs learned how to use paks, you might have troubles finding one to fire from! God, imagine having to actually battle with a player!!

Seriously, where have u been. I needed pak cover several games lately, and couldn't get none. Sat in German 2 for 2 minutes with no health asking for PAK cover since there was a German player outside in a tank. I couldn't help but think "where's that damn Rommel when you need him!?!?!?"

Pak cover? I remember just a few months ago when pak cover was non-existent and you had to plant, cover, defend and blow the base almost single handedly, or by coordinating an overwhelming attack on each base, without sitting in an enemy base wasting time. In fact, if we could remove all the paks from the map, or limit their range, ol' Barb would be a whole new game again, eh? Might even be alot more fun. Just a thought.........

Yes, and close the door in front of Russian base 3. We have no chance to defend the base when Germ hide a lot of soldier inside the house in front of the base. When we attack germ base there are no house to hide inside. It is unfair . So as long as there are posibility to use pak on germ and russian base i will us it. After my understanding there are most easily to attack Russian base than Germ base.

Ahem. I did point out didn't I that I had no health? as in, that little tiny speck you have when you wonder how you aren't already dead!

That said, I had the EXACT same thought just the other day. Sink all the paks 20 feet underground, and it would change the game. Would German have an unfair advantage. Well, maybe, maybe not, but I figure Russian have an unfair advantage now. Why? well, monthes ago before all the veterans knew all the pak shots the maps were fairly balanced. However, now with so many people knowing the pak tricks, Russian has an advantage when there are veteran players playing, because they have FAR more pak abilities. Their front pak can hit EVERY base. Their middle pak at home hits G3 and the G3 gunner with ease. Their pak behind R3 easily blasts the Germans off their only useful pak, which is the only one that can hit a base. Only that German pak can hit bases, and no pak can hit a Russian pak.

I'd be up for the change just for a week or so. Why not? Just for fun.

p.s. Oh, I know this likely won't appeal to people, especially since a lot of us MOBers make out livings off the Russian pak in Barb! But ist doesn't hurt to chat about this stuff just for fun, and throw ideas out there. So thanks Sabot.

The pak's are fine. I just want better base structure. Like how you throw a satchel and are outside on the ground not even touching concrete and you blow up. You get hurt yet the ground stays the same.
