Everytime i try to find it its empty. have we thought about some of the new maps? played a really cool one today on omb ,cant remember the name though ,started with a W. caught it at last second.they seem to have alot of new maps there though.

I've heard the FKmod is awesome, most servers that are packed are running it. I don't know anything about it though.

I have a hard time with CoD2. I keep trying but I fail every time. I keep hitting my sprint button and then remember that there's no sprint in CoD2 stock. So I basically feel like I'm walking around a battlefield... kinda lame. Graphics and gameplay are nice though. I can shoot someone in the toe with a KAR and get a 1 shot 1 kill.

we play all the time man. well as much as we can.. there just isn't very many MOB cod2 players.

Ive needed a bit of change of pace so ive been playing tdm -uo and tdm cod2.i guess ill keep looking for you guys,i play weird hours latley.pez-i agree,for some reason i like the rifles better for uo.everythings bigger in uo ,i find myself squinting to see a guy aiming at me on other side of map,lol.maybe im old.

ya just hop on with us at in the cod2 channel in vent. we have been playing on our server with the custom maps and is filled a lot of the time

What Custom maps?? the COD2 server is just stock besides no smoke and no shotgun.

Whenever I go to play the server it is dead, so I have to go on other servers unless I play Tuchola.

If we are not having a TWL COD2 team then why don't we mix it up a little and add custom maps, mods, gametypes?

I agree....I've been trying to catch our COD2 server with some folks in it so I could help them increase their stats a bit. (cause I suk at rifles only) But I can never seem to catch them in there. I have played on a couple of other servers to get the feel and you're right...I find it difficult to see the enemy as well. Just can't quite get the groove of the play down. ( i must be gettin old too. but I continue to try.LOL) Hats off to you COD2 guys and your good eyesight! I have been playing rifles only with my son in COD, and been having a blast. Some of those kids are amazing!!

We have a cod2 team, that plays matchs reguarly. And it is kinda hard to keep the severs goin when we have about 10 cod2 players and about 40 uo players.

Story of my life....why should this be any different? LMAO! Thanks Mike, I'll try those and give you guys something to shoot at.

For the UO guys which may not have tried the new Mix Map COD2 server, here are a few high lights:

1) Call in the NAPALM when you've earned enough kills (like arty in UO). See your enemy run around on fire before they die. At lower earn levels you can call motars and air strikes.

2) Shoot someone in the head for an audio "Head Shot!". Also "Killing Spree!, Ultra Kill!, etc.

3) Ride a trolley car across the Buhlert map while shooting your enemy.

4) Mix of CTF, TDM, DM with some Bolt Action rifles only while others are all weapons.

5) End of game Stats showing most Bashes, Nade Kills, etc.

6) Sprint Key is available but not turned on. If enough of the UO guys join and want it, we'll cut it on.

7) Rat Map is a sniper map in a kitchen where you are the size of a rat. Drop in the sink, run up the refrig or play in the bookshelf. There is even a secret place that has stacks of every COD2 gun. Good luck finding it.

8) New music and sounds. Blood splatters during battles and blood stains remain from previous battles.

9) Maps and Gameplay is rotated automatically based on the number of players. For a small number (4 or less) maps are smaller and set to DM with rifles only. As the number of players increase, larger maps are rotated into play and the game is switched to TDM or CTF. All map are new and even newer custom maps are loaded every few days.

10) The MOB Mixed Map server has seen excellent growth during the last few weeks. A big thanks to the regular COD2 players that have been looking for new maps to add and for making suggestions on how it should be setup. We can't please everyone but we are trying to find the right mix to keep up the popularity. (Note that this server is setup with the Extreme Mod and not every new custom map will run on it, but most will)

11) Finally, if you really want to improve your shooting skills spend some time on the MOB Aiming server. These are very small maps designed for 2 to 4 players. They are rifles only and there are few areas to hide. You have to be very quick to shoot and move. Do well here and you will do well anywhere.

Wish download speeds were better as would a non MOB member that doesent know to go to 8.9.5.xx and download the maps through the web first.....downloading the new gob2.iwd # 27 KB/sec, and I have 5MB dsl.

Sounds like a problem at your end. The COD2 server is setup for redirected download and it goes at over 1mb/sec. You do not need to go to the website; it is redirected from within the game as you connect. Several others, including myself, saw it downloading at that rate today as we updated the new maps.

COD2 is not dead...COD2 players are like cats....they're finicky.....and the mix map server is the perfect "i want chicken, i want liver, MoB Clan MoB Clan please deliver" kinda place. just need to have people in it. If we could get all of our brothers and sisters who have COD2 to commit at least a half hour per day playing on our mix map server (preferably between 12noon-8pm Eastern) then we can get more players to come, and then, stay and invite their friends. Just like how things work on Barb, Stock, and Tuchola for our UO players.

I also want to congratulate our competitive teams on TWL. Good Job guys! Your hard work and dedication have reaped great rewards! Give that {MoB} a Klondike Bar!!!!
