Sounds pretty sweet, I'll have to check it out. I've been involved with guitars since my youth. My father started playing at a very young age and my mother's father worked till retirement after WWII at Martin Guitars up in Pennsylvania. Been through too many bands to even name, mostly punk stuff back in the 80's and early 90's but have since moved onto playing stuff other than power chords, lol. Jack Johnson stuff is amazing and great to learn.

I've played it...I suck at it. Really fun game though.

after you play expert's and hard's (basically almost identical...) it makes it even harder to play medium because you pre-strum. and i end up doing worse in medium then i do on hard or expert.

I do dig bark at the moon if i can get it going, and Stellar.

I like playing on the harder levels as well because it is the closest to feeling like you are playing for real.

Age has played a large part in my enjoyment of this game, and luckily they have stuck a few newer songs in it and the new one. I am all about the 80s and hair bands, not so much on the other stuff.....

My wife had to pull me away from the display at Best Buy. I was playing Fire It Up the Black Label Society song on there... I got 85% on medium level after 2 tries. Not bad I thought for someone who can't even play a kazoo.... The Bullseye guitar is cool and all but I'm more into women. Those strings could cut me...... ouch!

I played this game for the first time today! My roommate bought the game last week, but I hadn't had time to mess around on it. Man, it was very addicting. Plus it is cool to feel like you're playing SRV's "Texas Flood," even though I pretty much did horrible on that song with the easy difficulty setting!

Geez this game is hard..... I'm doing good to beat the medium difficulty on most of the songs. I have a hard time with remembering hammer on and pull offs. Unfortunately I'm no Zakk Wylde and can't pick every note. I guess with practice I'll get better....

especailly or those of us over 30...

i can do more than a feeling on expert....

but not much higher.

bark is brutal....

I'm pushing 30.... and have carpal tunnel....among other things....

I understand the concept of hammer on's and pull off's but I have the hardest time getting them to work. I've been playing killer queen on expert. I can do about 75% of it but after about 3 tries my hands hurt too bad to keep going. I can do all except BATM on Medium several of them on Hard and a couple on Expert but there are some of them that I can't get. The punk songs are the worst to me with cords apart from each other having to move your hand up and down using different fingers. Especially when it's your bird finger and pinky. Anyway I'll keep practicing looks like food is going to have to go.... need more time for the game. I'd give up sex too but I don't think the extra 30 seconds every few days will help.....

OMG I LOVE this game. the first night i played it was with my cousin, and we literally played ir for 7 hours straight. after that long i am fianlly able to do some medium!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this game is for real baby.

The second one comes out first part of next month. Between the first one, the new riffle range, and the forthcoming sequal to guitar hero I forsee not sleeping until March.

I need bigger hands it's hard to reach all buttons for me... I've beaten everything on medium and all but BATM on hard. I havent tried many on expert but I've done the first 5 i know. I don't think I'll ever be able to do BATM on hard and dang sure can't on expert... I like playing Killer Queen and Texas Flood probably the most right now although that's subject to change as I get tired of one song and move on to another. The song you can unlock Cave Man Rejoice is great... I get a kick out of it everytime...

That's a nice skin! I saw a bunch on ebay last week for $10-$20.

I played GH2 for my first time last week and I'm totally hooked. I had never played it before since I didn't have a PS2 but I was at a small party and we all started playing. Now my goal is to find a cheap used PS2 on ebay along with a few wireless GH guitars. I can remember when you guys first started raving about the game in this thread... it sounded really cool but I guess I didn't understand the addictiveness.

I also really like the song selections. Looking forward to GH3 where I here you'll be able to download songs from the GH site and import them into teh game... might only be for PS3 though.

So I've beaten the Medium level on GH2 this week, still haven't busted 5 stars on every song... mainly Psychobilly Freak Out, it kills me everytime. I have a huge problem with alternating repetitive notes... ya know... red/yellow/red/yellow/red/yellow/over and over again, really fast. Just can't nail them.

I think my favorites so far are Primus, Rage Against the Machine, and DethKlock.
