I like "The Madness", it's catchy and twisted....I would read the preview just to see what the strory is about. Bubba' Chili Parlor has a comical attachement to it...(my opinion only)...not an attention grabber when your going to buy a book.

Silly Lip, if i remember correctly Bubba was Forests shrimp(i think) loving friend. He had plans to create a shrimp business, this is what i remember at least and my memory may be distorted...i cant remember how he dies(does he even die?).

I like the Chili Parlor, just not the Bubba part. The name makes me think (as mentioned above) Bubba from Forrest Gump and also Bill Clinton. Chili Parlor Madness?

BTW my original name for the first script was "The Madness". This version recently took 3rd prize at the Eerie Horror Film Festival Screenplay Competition.

That's interesting BG. I agree with most everyone that LOTD is way down in 3rd place for me.

But now that I look at it, maybe they want to play off the LOTR thing!!! People could get confused and buy your movie buy mistake. A few extra bucks baby!

It's a rural Texas chili parlor. Bubba is a redneck. However, as the movie goes on, you realize he's a little less redneck and a little more intelligent than you thought.

When you use the word MADNESS....it's a word that attracts attention. Everyone has their personal opinion of the word....but using the example as if it were written for a newspaper article...it's an attention grabber that attracts one to want to read a little more...to see what kind of madness is involved.

Psychology-Madness go hand in hand...so as a whole it brings one to think how crazy is this guy/gal. I think the catchy name is what attracts the reader. This name makes it's sound like a "thriller" read.
