Last night, Barb, full server. My team's German. We're trying to get 3 first, and make the rest easy. Several guys on foot in the village. We storm. I'm caught in the village dueling with a guy. We plant 3! Yes! I start making my way closer. I pass Animal Mother. He's on the Russian Mortar. He's getting kills aiming it right at the base. Wish I knew that shot! But somehow, they start to defuse. No! I race forward. Animal is still getting kills. I'm approaching the base on foot. Explosions everywhere. Tanks burnings. Wondering if they'll explode and get me. There's no time. The defusing continues. I charge recklessly, it's the only hope. I see a message from IPFreely. "Go MOD go!" it says. I race past the burning tanks. I duck down the stairs. I'm out of time. Around the corner, I open fire. The first several rounds miss. No! It's about to be cut, I know it, I'm too late! Then "snap snap snap". The Fishy falls! It's not defused. More Russians die from mortar fire. I race out! KABOOM! Base 3 done.

Shortly afterward, we roll on 1 and 2 in quick order. Russians didn't have a chance.
That's why we play. For these exciting moments when it all comes together, your teammates do their part, you play your role, and it all works perfectly. It's just one little game, but it sure can generate a lot of excitment in me still, and while I still have fun playing it online almost a year and a half later.
Anyway, just thought I'd add something realy positive for a change. Have a good day.

MoD
That was a good attack. There were about six of us there and all played a part in the destruction of R3.
I was pleased to drive IPFreely up to the base (squashing a commie on the way). I got waxed trying to run another one over as IP was lying down with his satchel. Next thing I know, I'm speccing MoD running toward the base and Animal Mother waxing commie after commie with their mortar. Even after Animal Mother got killed, he wasted like three more with a mortar that was still in the air.
If I'm not mistaken, one of our teammates was bombing the base with our Pak, too.
I'm on Skype screaming at IPFreely and 6FootUnder that the bomb is going to be defused. Lo and behold, MoD to the rescue! Great run. We took care of 1 and 2 in about five minutes, as MoD says.
There are just certain players out there that seem to know what to do when the poop hits the fan...last night was a great example of it.
Teamwork is obviously a key part of winning at Base Assault. I was very proud to be part of the German team last night!
