everytime I gonna play CoD i press ctrl+alt+delete and the Windows task manager pops up, and then I proceed to turn off most of the compaq owner things on it. But recently my friend told me that doing so may be bad, because some backround tasks may be beneficial to the runing of call of duty. may be you know... if you do, tell me so, if u know otherwise, tell me so also, i will aprociate it...

and here I gonna put the trash that runs as my backround tasks:

ati2evxx.exe <-- something to do with gpu, really don't now too much.
explorer.exe <-- the desktop, i don't turn if off.
CCAPP.EXE <-- Norton antivirus I think.
atiptaxx.exe <-- something againn to do with gpu.
hpwuSchd2.exe <-- no idea.
realsched.exe <-- realplayer thing.
jusched.exe <-- no clue.
iTunesHelper.exe <-- i tunes garbage.
hpsysdrv.exe <-- hp system drive, i thnik thta's what thta is, i don't turn it off out of caution.
ctfmon.exe <-- What is this!?
ALCXMNTR.EXE <-- And this?!

some i know what they r, like the itunes thingy, but what intrigues me is what is this ctfmon.exe, it keeps turinig itself on, and i don't know what its for. Also the ALCXMNTR.EXE i don't know what that is.

Get and use enditall. Search for it here, as I've already put the link to it in a couple of times. It will shut off everything not needed for gaming until your next reboot. Sweet!!
