I remember the time when barbarossa map had 2 MOB servers, one was 45 minutes, the other was no time limit, that was fun, I remember the feeling after my team won a hard fought 4 hour battle, that was really nice, because I felt as if we have finnaly broken the enemy's will to fight by displaying ours, and our fighting abilities. But the days of no time limit are over, and frankly I find it a bit sad, no more sneaking in russian village for half an hour because there isin't enought time for that. Also I know that when the server ran for 4 hours straight on one match, it crashed, or whatever... so suggesting to reinstate the no time limit on barbarossa is no good, but I would suggest thta the time limit be increased from 35 minutes to at least 45 minutes, an hour be even better but that may be asking too much... so consider what I have said... the good old days... let's bring 'em back, and if that's not possible then let's try to get as close as we can....

If you have dedicated your life to Barb, I'm sure no time limit would be nice. It creates new tactics - obviously - and AX-clan have this solution. For myself I like the time limit. You know when the battle ends, and you most likely finish the game you started. And if you find yourself at a misplaced team you have the possibility to swap team. (I like the idea of finish the team you started).

I think that these eternal battles would create more players just quitting during playtime and it could get hours before you get final outcome. I prefer a draw vs. 4 hours match with a winner.



I like the 35 min limit, but 45 min is also OK with me. No longer in my opinion.

I like it the way it is now. Especially for those games when your on a totally noob team and cant wait to put the game to an end to change up teams.

Don't those games end fairly quickly from "natural causes", i.e. 3 big ****BOOMS***!!!!

Not usually for me. I end up playing defense and guarding R3 the whole game. The very second I leave to take out a German base is when R3 ends up blowing. Therefore I always stay and guard the base now.

Those are lies, beacsue u are running around with that little damned ppsh, and 3 is still stndiong, R3 is blown up when the germans konw what they are doing, but quite often, they don't have idea what's going on, the other day I saw a dude on jeep mg42 trying to destroy R2 with the machine gun, and l;ayter he came back with hadheld mg34 set it up by R2 and tried to destroy with it, and thta is madness...

Yes, a good soldier use everything to take out the enemy. Not like Kleeranse who thing he must pay for the gas to the KV-1. Therefore he stay at R-3 all along and work as gravedigger

for the record my vote didnt work but i voted 1 hour.ive felt as soon as you start to get a rythym going ,oops game over,alot of ties.i can agree with the skill level dipping a bit as NOONE likes to defend.

Barb time limit is perfect the way it is.......Don't change it:)

I know Big P was always for no time limit. He just prefers to win rounds. Me, well, I think Barb comes down to team play, timing and skill. I would hate to see Barb any longer than it is. Hell, I fought to keep rounds from being so long. I have never gotten the idea of "play until you win". To me you do your damndest to win in the alloted time. In the last 5 minutes of the game I do everything I can to blow a base to win. That's why my pub stats have never been great. I don't care about score or stats. I never have. To me you win by blowing all the bases in a set time span. In the last 5 minutes of a match I'll drive into tank fire in a jeep over and over if I have to if I think that is the best way into a base. And don't tell me that is stupid, because I've come into matches with just a few minutes left and taken a jeep to a base to plant and win. To me, that's how you play the game.

btw - funny poll. More "No" votes than "Yes" for all alternatives................

Actually, problem with the poll was too many variables. I look at it and see 10 "yes" for staying the same, and 12 "yes" for being longer of either 45 or an hour. Problem is, the "longer" times are split, so they look smaller by themselves, but as of this writing, those who want longer matches are in the slight lead.
