You may have some MOD files loaded which are interferring. Look in your game's UO directory and you will see a lot of .pk3 files. You may need to delete most recent ones to find which one is causing the problem. Do not delete the pakuo01 - pakuo07 pk3 files since those are the orignal game files. If non of this makes any sense, wait until some can walk you thru it on vent.

What I like to do [if you have a pc] is go to the folder and click on view/arrange by date/time; from there, find the date of the added mod and you can easily see all the files [of the unwanted mod] that you should only delete. I also keep a copy of the config file in another directory- just in case.....

The problem is the O is in front of the U. You need to swap out the O for the U so you have UO. Simple as pie.

For everyone's safety, put down the computer and back away! comp26.gif

Now, once you have pulled on the appropriate safety gear (rubber gloves, anti-static clothing, grounding cable and goggles - never, ever forget the goggles), delve deep into the bowels of your computer (try not to be too squeemish).

Journey to your Call of Duty folder, then deeper still (you may need a headlamp here) as you descend into the "uo" folder ... wait a minute. This journey is clearly not safe for the ill-prepared. Reverse direction and head back for the surface. What ever you do, don't go too fast.

Once there, continue to back away from the computer. I think that would be safe for everyone! help.gif

It turns out that that 1.51 upgrade couldn't possibly have anything to do with your computer running slowly. You most likely have some spyware or virus running that is causing your problem. The 1.51 patch updates the actual COD UO application and if it isn't running, it won't be causing problems.

Now, if you meant to say you are still having problems with UO running slowly, then Steele made the following post which may have some useful information for you. Be sure to read through the thread as there were a bunch of helpful tips as well:

Good luck, be safe and frag on!

Bullseye get on vent with one of us this weekend and see if we can talk you through a fix. Old Man Mike is great at this if he has time. I also am willing to help if available. You can download adaware from lavasoft and run it. It may take care of spyware etc that can cause these problems.

I'd used to think ISP too, but that would crash me instead of being the source of constant lag issues.
Defrag your hard drive that you have cod UO installed on too [disk defragmenter -if you use Windows].
how much ram do you have?- that makes a big difference too- for me it did. I ran surprisingly ok on 256 ram with well tweaked game options. But on heavy duty servers I was asking too much of my system. When I added another 256 ram the difference was night and day on those resource heavy servers. For example my background anti-virus updates doesn't stop me in midbattle to refresh the game anymore -yay tongue.gif ... I also play at 800x600 game screen and the sounds option I have at medium- that can cause lagging if you don't have tons of ram. Oh yeah- good video card too definately helps erase lag issues.
