not exactly sure what we are seeing here. Is this from your point of view? Or are you specing someone? Looks more like a video card error than any hack I've seen. What were the circumstances regarding this?

To me, it looks like someone is phasing through the wood barrier and is able to shoot. Then when someone shoots back, they move back and are protected by the barrier. Sorry about not being a CoD2 admin, i just wanted to try to shed some light on my perspective for geno. This was a problem on our old cassino server on the 3rd floor of the hotel. It was fixed one day and i just assumed one of the admins here fixed it. So, that's my perspective on it, i dont think anyone was banned for it, but it can be argued as an exploit. Oh my, i seem to have written alot, well more than i normally do.

The ruling was made for Cassino that this is a "no-no". Players are to be warned against it because it is an "exploit" and if they fail to listen they are to be kicked. There is also a window on Carentan where you can do the same thing.

Are you sure you can't kill him? Besides, if he's sticking out, that means he can be killed. Big deal if he can hide for a bit. No difference between hiding behind a wall and popping out.

Just an experienced observation here -- I've typically found that when someone sends me pictures like this, especially from the viewpoint that they've walked into a room and found a cheater and are so mad that they want to screenshot and report him/her..... what they are typically really reporting is that they are incredibly angry that someone else is parked in what they consider their own personal "hidey-hole map glitch."

Otherwise, it would typically be from spectate mode, after a player suspected another player of cheating because of high score or something, yes? Of course, this is typically suspected cheating on the opposite team, yes?

I mean, typically, it's tough to notice cheating on your own team because you are busy fighting for the win, yeah???? Unless, of course, someone is in your own personal hidey-hole glitch, yes??? Interesting!!! LOL!!

I went and looked at it. It's a glitch in the map. You can go straight through it. Dunno if you can be shot behind it or not. I will try it on the match server next time it's up to see if TWL fixes it.

Just an observation here, but if you see anything that look funny you are better off to not report it?

This glitch is the same as the Cassino server. I was on with Druid a while ago and showed him this glitch and he put some sort of invisible wall in there to block the window. Someone will have to do the same here to block this window glitch off.

Someone find out if when you are shooting from that window if you can see a part of the body from the outside. If it turns out you can see the person's body sticking out and are able to kill them, who cares? Let them hide behind the window, when they pop out you kill them. BFD.

This reminds me of the glitch in the window on Carentan for COD2. However, I'm not sure if you can sit in the middle of the window on that one. Is it considered cheating if you use such a glitch in a match??

this is a very good observation, but i didnt even know that was there...and yes you can be killed thru it...im just sayin, when he saw me lookin at it he just "lol" and it is quite cheap...just thought all of us should know about this "glitch" (and i do belive we treat hax and glitches about the same on the tolerence level...just saying)

We treat glitchers like hacks when the situatin warrents it. This doesn't even seem like it needs to be brought up. You can get killed from there, and unless it kills you when you get up there during a TWL match, there's no reason to get rid of it.

Not an admin but is he looking through it or did he have a wall hack to see through it then shoot at it. Like if you play mohaa the windo in the library at lol Carentan i think. Well just an input but if he is all the way out i dont see a reason why not. He can still get shot its like being out of a window.

i didnt know about that window and the carentan glitch is not allowed in TWL matches fyi, I played with sparks on aim maps i ended up kicking him for spam so if ya ban him it shouldn't be a big deal

I shot this guy when he was doing it so the fire can be returned through it.

The problem with this glitch in Cassino was when he backed up and you could no longer see him, your bullets do not go through the black wall there. You could only kill him when he stuck his head out. Therefore, you must be quick to kill him. This is not like sitting in any window and should be considered glitching since you can not kill him when he backs up. Very cheap to use this IMO.

Ya'll better be glad you didn't play MOHAA with us back in the old days. We constantly used glitches in matches. They are part of the game. I always thought that calling that window a glitch in Casino was pretty dumb. You were able to kill the guy, and it was no different then hiding behind a wall. When the person pops out, you kill them. I never had any problems with killing anyone there.

You were able to use glitches in mohaa because they were nearly impossible to avoid. Every map was a glitch fest. Hell, the lean ability was so awesome it turned almost every corner or doorway into an unfair advantage.

I could go for a round of Remagen or DV right about now...
