I love when there are noobs on German and you can drive the beer truck right up to 2 and plant. Then walk into their spawn while they are trying to figure out how to pick up a panzerhaust then BLAM !!!!

Then there are the days when Goose is sneaking around up there and WHAM !!

Barbarossa map rules

you know, barbarosa does kick ass...however, why is it that I never see some of you eastern front troops out in the forest?

I try to share my time as equally as I can with the forest. I really enjoy playing there too. Both maps offer unique challenges, while the Barb map just keeps pulling me back. I need to play more stocks. I played in there a couple of days ago, for the first time in a LONG while and had a blast! Just not enough time in the gaming day to get the recommended daily allowance of killing and mayhem, sometimes.

I too am a Barb Junkie. I tried TF, but it takes too long to get into any action. I feel like im running forever or driving a tank forever and when I die, it pisses me off I have to go all the way back over there, lol.

I have tried Stock Maps last week for my first time ever. I tried that map Italy, it was pretty cool. I think I will try some more of that server as well. Although, there was this map where some guys in there that were using the big flak guns that were just nasty. I have no idea how the hell they seen me, crawling up but the did and they landed some big shells into my skull on a regular basis.

There was a time we had two Barb servers (time limit and no time limit) and they were always full.

Nothing, I hear ya but one usally runs into opposition on the way and you have to fght your way through it. Or you can always camp by an open base and let them come to you.

Its too bloody cold on TF, thats why im not on there that much...lol

My favorite was the untimed Barb. I never played the timed one until the untimed was closed.

I go to the forest, but i never have a sweater sooo i like staying close to Barb.

I play both as well. i just like barb better cause its better for sniping.

I am sooooo addicted to this game! The teamwork is awesome! I can't say enough about how great you guys are to game with! See ya on the feild!

Barbarossa is the perfect map...

1.) Lots of vehicles to quickly take you the long stretches between bases.

2.) Lost of long stretches of open land to get to top speed in a jeep.

3.) Plenty of places to run and hide if necessary.

4.) Both teams have significant tactical advantages and weaknesses.

5.) Can effectively use almost every weapon available. (Some maps make it pointless to use a sniper rifle.)

And now that there is a significant number of veterans of the map, it makes almost every round a challenge that requires teamwork.

For sniping I like the maps with loads of buildings like Ponyri or Foy. Anybody ever figured out how to get on top of the watertowers in Ponyri ?? It's fun seeing how people try to get to the very top and fall off when they jump for the last ladder

But it's great for teamwork ... most of the time I just ran or drove off, but when one of the MOBs ask to stick around for defense or something like that, I'll stay, it adds to the feel of reality working together.

This sums up BAS for me I think. I'm trying to develop enough patience to enjoy it.... we shall see I guess.

Try a jeep and you will get killed faster!

Geno is not happy unless he's dodging bullets fired from 5 directions, doing a backflip off the top of a building and shooting me from half the map away.

What you need to do Geno is to play as Russian, sabatoge your 1 and 2 and just hang out at 3.
Trust me you'll have plenty of non-stop action.
It's also a good idea to have a few noobs give up some of your tanks, That always helps.

That bout sums it up..... but I'm not partial as to who I shoot while doing that double backflip gainer off the building....

Yeah, Barb is my favorite, especially after getting my butt smoked on mods for a few rounds. I'm just an old fashioned armor guy I guess.....
