interestingly enought, single player works fine, only the multiplayer versions of cod and uo crash...
Maybe during vista install it messed up ur Multiplayer settings? connection type and stuff?
Either that or....Vista dont like you.
New computer....You may have to Re-install UO....I dont have vista soo i wouldn't know but a re-install might just do the trick.

I tried that, first thing i do is reinstall if something not working... I think i just must wait for a vista patch to the game or OS itself... patiance is a virtue...
vista SUCKS!!!. my friend installed it on his computer and all it did was give him problems. keep the OS u had or have.
PB has problems with vista. They are having the same problems with BF2

Install win xp on your PC and wait for another year before putting Vista back on your pc, they will have time to fix all the problem they have!

Exactly right. They always have issues with a new release and your the guinea pig. Wait at least for the first or second service pack to come out. If XP ain't broke, don't fix it.

I read that he got a new computer, and it came with Vista. I don't think he's saying he choose to install it.
Perhaps with all the new security features, it doesn't like letting a program like PB try and scan your files. ONly Microsoft is allowed to do that!!!

I think that vista is mainly for multimedia user??? If you use it for gaming or internet access....i think i would wait a little and stick with my good old win xp. I've always heard people say always stick with the last os for at least two years, to give them the time to fix all the bugs!

Definitely wait to purchase Vista. The early bird might get the worm, but it's the second mouse who gets the cheese!
They still haven't worked out all the issues with XP yet and they want you to upgrade to Vista? Who they kiddin'?

Bill Gates u better fix this problem or I'll sue you for the time lost not pwning ppl!!! U will pay! Best u fix it.
And nothing, it depends what graphics card u got, I read that some GPU's already got updates and pathches to allow such thing as Call of duty to run with no problem, it won't run for me because my GPU isnit a priority gaming GPU, so before they fix its problem with CoD and vista might take a while...
Don't know about you guys but i have 2 friends with vista windows and they said is excellent and they never will go back to xp ,and everything works fine ,none of them complain about something going wrong with it

Anyway peruse through this excellent tech forum. There are a few issues you may want to be 'privvy' to;

Just a thought... have you tried checking at
www.activisiion.com and searched a potential "vista" issue with their games? Perhaps they are having problems across the board or better yet perhaps one of the many people that go to the site has posted a "fix" of sorts for vista. They may even have some advice that you can use.

Is your video on board, or is a video card? Is is mfgd. by NVIDIA? If so stay tuned as NVIVIA is still having driver issues. ALSO, I read somewhere that Vista has some problems with openGL which is a key part of graphics as well. Might be a while before you can get this squared away. I am reading as fast as I can to find you an answer..........info is sketchy at best.

Thanks sab, yeah i know that they r working on new drivers that will solve problems, and I know it takes time, but get this, i just was on the activision support site, and on the questions section, after u write the question they ask you about your pc, os etc, in OS option the latest they got is xp, no vista, in direct x they got 9.0c, I already got 10, mabye that's the problem... humm, and other questions there don't have up to date options, those activisionites, always trying to get by slacking off at work...
