1. A few weeks ago, you brought this topic up and I DID USE auto assign on a regular basis. Then while German got my arse whooped, the next round i did auto and was Russian and switched vent channel to russian only to hear YOU say for everyone to switch to German that round. How can you complain about this from happening when you are contributing to the problem? After seeing and hearing this happen, I said on vent that that was bullshit. Im sure many may remember that time. I made my point about this being bullshit that on the forums people complain about it and in the servers, dont follow what they are posting.

2. The round before this started, you were auto assigned to German and force/switched back to russian. How can you do this and then come here and point this out? I remember a german pointing this out to you and you still stayed Russian.

My main point is not that this is happening, because we all know its happening. I just cant believe that you poisted this since you are one that does this many many times. You also once said that you go to the weaker team. If thats true, why not stay on the german team when you were auto-switched?

Yes, I was the "German" who pointed it out as just me and one other Reg (Zanadus, whoever THAT is lol), and this is not a lie, faced down ELEVEN MOB's, Regs, and MR's!!! Amazing part...we won the 2 game match 2-1! Ohh yeahhh!!!!

I've asked several different ways for Regs to get privledges to move people in vent, but this has been turned down and/or ignored completely by everyone, so forget it. Team stacking on Barb is here to stay, and no one's going to fix it or even try. I've given up, even though I still auto-assign 90% of the time.

Actually MOD you were given a number of ways to move yourself in vent without having to have someone move you.... just to clarify... I have no dog in the fight btw...

As I did this game, can't remember if this was the first or second game but I was also german the other game.

I believe this "team stacking" is getting some what better. Just my 2 cents.

I've always been been able to move myself. But since COD/UO doesn't come set up in a way by default where you can move it is inevitable that many players cannot move. And when they can't move and they are on vent it is just natural people want to stick to the same team. Also, we tried splitting up channels for a bit, but once the match was over half the people in the allies channel would end up in axis the next game, which meant people were never in the right channel and it became pointless.

So add those factors and the simple fact there's a lot of Barb players who really like each other and just don't want to play against each other while on vent, and top it off with the fact some of Barb's most frequent players will only play Russian, and you're going to get a lot of Russian team stacks.

And Mule, I hear ya about autoassigning and still ending up on the "stacked" team. There have been a couple of screenshots of a "stacked" team posted here before, and everytime I was on it BUT every time I autoassigned. People shouldn't look at these screenshots and assume everyone ont he "stacked" team forced their way on.

And ya know what, at the end of the day this has been going on FOREVER! I think I got in MOB something like 8-10 months ago, and a post I made just before I got in was a challange/chide to MOB players to stop stacking only Russian and instead stack German some! LOL. This has been going on forever and it's still our first or 2nd most popular server!

There are ways to create bind keys in vent that you could use to move yourself. If everyone playing barb used this feature than nobody needs to move anyone else.
Also, there are game minimizers that are available.

Also, we have cod2 set up to ONLY allow auto-assign. OMM was going to look into whether or not we could do it for UO as well. That way there is no team stacking.

There are a couple of things that amaze me about Barb, though. First, teamstacking hasn't run everyone off. Second, the unstacked team wins many times, lol.

I was on the other day,

I joined and saw a few of my bretheren chillin on the Rusky team, germy bases-a-blinkin. Ok, it was NOOB friday/wednesday/thursday, and this team was pretty pathetic. I think it was TBN and I on the axis side. We were all on vent, same channel, and it was fun to be the one who popped that R1, planted and defended the plant, while the other dudes were coming for it. Little old me. We made it competitive, and i think we came back the second game, and it ended 5-4 or 5-5. YES it is tricky to play and try to tune out the other team. I really try to make a concious effort to NOT allow the other teams comments effect my actions. I may mention that their team mates are lying about my presense somewhere, but all in all, I try to stick to the plan that I had, even if someone mentions they are going to plant or start paking. Just being honest to the game and you guys. I dont want to "win" so much that I would sit on vent and spy. I also offered to go to the "alone" room where no one else was on, so they could coordinate. They said it was cool. I stayed, saved the day, drank the beer, raped the horses, rode off on the women, pruned the hedges, of many small villages (oh sorry, 3 amigos moment). Basically, I play for fun (sans some complaining I do) end really love the reactions from clanmates when there is a good kill of an adversary in our group. BUT the flip side, we play against some really good players. Why not, every now and then, flex our muscles and kick some tail. Just to keep it all in balance. for the past 2 weeks, I have been on sporadically, and there has been little "stacking." I have tried diligently to auto select, and yes I sigh when it is german, but i can still long range, and play defense from that side as well.... so, lets all relax, look inward, and seek the words of Sabot... "oh, i'm sorry bud" right after he nails you with a headshot and you curse at him in several languages....friggin sabot, sat-bot, saibow, or whatever.

For most of you that play this server... most of the barb players are just that regulars on the servers...not MOB Regs. Most of the time we know 80-90% of the other players who skills are equal or sometimes better than ours. Even when we play together at times we can take a real beating. And at the end of the game...we all say GG. I've also seen lately when people get swithced during game play that people will stay on the same team.

Now 3 games in a row today with a few other regs on our team... and a few on the other..we took one mean beating. I think all in all, when we play, try and balance the teams, and have alot of fun. When we see a real noob team playing, we switch around and try and balance it out.

I've been on and off the server for the last few days and have not noticed any whining or complaining... only fierce battles.

I think it's time we let this go and enjoy the game.

6 Pak is right. Barb is completely different than our other servers. There are very few times that stacked or not, an easy win is order. Most of the time it's hard as hell to gain an edge. More often than not, the time runs out long before any side drops all 3 bases. A lot of fun and fierce competition happens on that server. So, somebody tell me why the people keep coming back. Nearly everyday I see new names on. Just about everytime I log on the server is full.

This is one successful server peeps and doesn't need to be messed with until there is a real problem.
