I had XM when it first came out years ago and it was pretty cool to take the boom box to the beach and stuff. Now, I have XM channels on my DirecTV and my AOL radio.. so I get it all for free. I cancelled my account over a year ago. The channels are great though, little or no commercials... XM Lucy and XM Fungus are excellent. AOL radio is bitchin too... a lot of great stations. AOL is free people, so check it out and you'll get free XM stations as well.
I would be suprised if this is allowed by the FCC since, to my knowledege, those are the only two sattelite radio services. It seems like it would go against anti-trust laws.
On the other hand, I'll be glad if this allows me to have Big 12 coverage on my XM!

I pay for radio. Not all of us live in big markets where our listening tastes are served. I also like being able to hear my station I get use to if I'm in Kalamazoo or Orlando. There are all sorts of stations I can't get via traditional radio as well. So yes I will continue to pay for something that doesnt include screaming car salesmen.

My buddy made a killing on XM stock when it first came out. I actually only have a few shares of Sirius, lol. I set up an account on sharebuilder or something like that but cancelled it after only a few transactions and never got around to doing anything with it.
i simply cannot stand commercials , if i could get a satellite radio anywhere all the time i would pay for it for sure!! that does include sports as well. all day long while working (and playing) i listen to the digital music on the comcast box,if i was able to take that with me into the car or to the beach etc.. that's worth paying for. radio? outdated and filled with corporate BS music and commercials!
dont sell your stock yet.
